with an aftermarket ECU you are supposed to jump start the car with the head lights on, but with the standard one i think it would b fine

yeh i got a series 2 aswell and i can hear the whistiling sound too. i always thought i was just the turbo spooling up

naa the engine was standard all it had was exhaust, bodykit and lowered

when i got mine registered i had to go back because they complained about the wheels...check what your engineers report says and keep those tyres on...i had the standard rims and the tyres recommended on the tyre plaque inside the drivers door and they still knocked it back thats all they were mainly picky about with me

Yer its coming from under the dash somewhere near the steering shaft. If u sit in the passenger seat its practically impossible to hear it

yer ive got a HKS turbo timer but i installed it so i doubt i have another one hiding somewhere lol...and i checked to see if it was that but it wasn't...plus the beeping off the turbo timer is loud compared to the sound im hearing...maybe its best if i get an auto elec to have a quick look at it btw thanx for all the replies

i tried sticking my head underneath their but i couldnt see or get close enough to see where the sound was coming from. I dont think that the sound is a bad sign of anything its just annoying...

naa its not the same sound as the one when the door is open. You have to really listen out for it or else you wont hear it
