Well I will wade in on this one. Mikey A full time Production Coordinator for a professional touring arts dance company. I also freelance as a music composer/ sound designer for dance and theatre shows and I freelance as an audio post-production engineer and a sound engineer. I've been a professional sound engineer for 9 years mixing bands, tv, film, and producing dance tunes. I would really like to run a bar - my own bar. In my spare time I drive my Skyline or play World of Warcraft.

The incosistancy in speed limits throuought the metro area seems to have no logic and is hazardous to safe driving. Bastards. Jase, I know about choosing your speed and your consequences but I fully support you on the rant. I got Nova'd for 65 in a 60, rant then beer.

Yes its this Sunday arvo and I am hoping the Whiteline Swaybars I just had fitted help to stop me a rockn' and rolln' all over the track and I won't get too "owned" (if that what young people say thesedays) by the other teams. Come down and hang out and watch us navigate our "land barges" around the course. Its a blast!

For me MC is about having fun. Take it too seriously and you are just kidding yourself. I enjoy putting my 33 around those courses for a laugh with my mates, and for the thrill of driving in a way I cant do safely on ordinary roads. I dont give a 2 shakes about winning (saddos in EVOs and other WRC wannabes can worry about that) - its all about having fun with my car - and my car is my hobby so I have a lot of fun. (And its best when gtrken shouts at you in training There are so many motorsport options out there if you really want to do it, but dont wait for someone to hand it to you on a plate...go out there, find it, do it, and have a ball. BTW djr81 your Datsuns Icon so rocks - best band evar

Fav Styles: Be Bop Jazz, The Blues, Baroque, Symphonic classical, Psy Trance, Tech House, Industrial (the real electronic dance one - not the stupid guitar style), 70's Prog Rock, 70's metal, Rock n Roll, Electroclash, Dub Reggae, Concious Ragga, 80's New Wave, New Romantic, and Indie. Fav artists; John Coltrane, Mozart, Skinny Puppy, :wumpscut:, Hallucinogen, Radiohead, The Stanton Warriors, The Datsuns, Astral Projection, Led Zepplin, The Aphex Twin, Howlin' Wolf, The Black Keys, Bounty Killer, Duran Duran, Joy Division, Kings of Leon, and Fischer Spooner. Never drive your Skyline with The Datsuns playing loud. Got me a sweet ol' speeding ticket doin' that.

I just fitted some new Hawk Racing pads to my calipers and they squeal loudly when I slow and approach stop - they are ok at speed. I have not been braking hard as I am bedding them in slowly. I have taken them out and put the orange anti squeal paste between the shims and the pads, I have had them in for a week and I have done 260k's on them so far. I have followed the bedding in procedure as laid out on Hawks own website, yet my lovely new brakes continue to make teeth grating +100db squeals when I slow down. What I want to know is - will this eventually go away, are there any issues specific to stock rotors and Hawk pads that may cause this, is there anything I should/can do. My discs have been checked out and are fine with no wear, lines, blue, or marks. I am in MC motosport next Sunday and I want to get it sorted by then or I might have to put the original pads back in so as not to kill the hi frequency part of everyones hearing. Besides the squeal they are bloody nice pads. Thanks

Being done tonight. 10/09/04 Results tommorrow. The number will go to air at 6:05 tonight. You have around 24 hrs to vote. As I said it might not mean much but it does show the 130,000 or so people who will be watching that there is opposition to this spurious law
-
Just to let everyone know there is going to be a phone poll on Channel 9 news tonight about the new amendments to the laws. I encourage everyone to phone up in the negative and get many others to do it. It might not mean much but it is a voice. I, in the meantime am trying to get someone in news to put an alternate view of the story up.

After a nice drive in the country (heh) I want to know what is the best way of going about fixing stone chips in the front. Body shop or is it easy DIY? My 'line is white (Yes Paul ANOTHER white line) where do I find the code/name for the paint colour. I know its white but there are shades of white so its not that much of a n00b question...is it? How hard is it to do? Cheers Mikey

You might need to set your computer into diagnostic mode. I did this to solve my flashing airbag light problem...don't know if it will work for your HICAS light though. Open your driver door. turn your ignition to the "on" position locate the black door switch inside the driver door (its to your right just behind you) press this at least 5 times within 7 seconds - this puts the car into diagnostic mode. To return the car to normal mode you turn ignition "off" for 1 second and then turn to "on" again This solved the flashing airbag light problem on my R33

Cheers for the info lads, The turbo u/g is in the early planning stages (financial mostly - have to ask "her Majesty" if I am allowed). Mikey

Thanx for the knowledge Macka I expected that going a new Garrett would work out to be a big bite on the bank account.
