  1. 0.82 rear and you should see a bar of boost before 3500rpm
  2. Knowing the RB25 comp ratio probably won't help you much. What pistons and gasket thickness are you going to be using?
  3. I have only done it for street applications so track work might be a different story
  4. You must be assuming he has the stock turbo as I am assuming he doesn't. Antilag and stock turbo would equal disaster.
  5. Try using search, google etc. It's pretty easy to find http://www.ngkspark.com.au/sparkplug_impor...000TurboRB20DET NGK Website PFR5A-11
  6. If I remind him about it he probably still would. If a hub has failed I'm sure it's through no fault of his own. That is not the only converted triple-twin OS clutch he has done. I did mention it to him back when it happened and he said he had not heard from you. Anna confirmed this when I spoke to her also. I assumed you would have wanted to do something about it. If you have it lying around, send it up to him and I'll see that he takes care of you. He would anyway but at least this way he will know someone isn't just stitching him up. Provide a story with the clutch and a timeline of events also.
  7. Put the engine on an engine stand. Leave oil in the sump. Turn it on it's side once a week to get the oil to soak up to the pistons and pins, straighten it up. Spray 2 seconds of WD40 into each spark plug hole and replace the spark plug. Rotate the engine 3 times, once a week after you have done that. Cover up the intake pipe when done. Glad wrap and electrical tape will do. Don't shove rags in there as they tend to get forgotten about and can get sucked in later. The WD40 will stop the rings from binding and rotating it will keep them from sitting in the one position in the bore None of this is necessary but will ensure it stays lubed and internally rust free and smoothly operating for a long time.
  8. Dont use anything but genuine Nissan for the gaskets.
  9. Ahh yes, I remember this one. Did you send it back to Doug for inspection? It was a rebuilt triple OS right? He doesn't use soft chrome molly for the friction plate spline. They are genuine exedy centres. The clutch wouldn't have welded itself to the flywheel, but may have given that feeling. Something else has caused those splines to flog out. So when you say you didn't like your NPC experience, do you mean you weren't happy that the clutch broke or were you unhappy with the service provided? I'm sure the situation was resolved as I never heard any more about it until now. Doug covers all his work under warranty so if something has gone wrong, he would have covered all costs involved if the clutch was faulty.
  10. +1 gasket. Manifold to turbo or turbo to dump. More likely the manifold to turbo
  11. This is a friendly scene and we are friendly people. Some people have lost their licence due to speeding, or getting defects, others have lost loved ones due to other people speeding etc. When you post about racing or whatever down "open roads" with no cops you can't expect anything different from what has been posted above. It's foolish and idiotic. Keep your racing to the track, the links have been provided at the top for you so visit their websites, give them a call and they will be able to answer your questions on costs etc. Racing down an 'open road' is just as stupid as racing down the middle of town. Your life is just as valuable as the person next to you, even if you don't believe it yourself.
  12. If you are going to consider NPC, tell Doug to tell you about his common hub twin with the cushion button front plate. It's a cushion button top plate and solid centre bottom plate with a common hub like a Nismo twin with nylon retainers. It will hold 1000hp to the ground and comment from my customer on it was 'hey it drives nicer than my Hi-ace van' He also does the twin sprung centre clutches which also hold 1000hp to the ground and then the mac daddy that's found in M. Jacobsons GTR which is the original solid centre twin. All priced around the $2000-2400 mark, local guy, local warranty and a clutch you'll never break. From memory, he has these clutches tested by exedy in Japan and they spin them to 16000rpm and apply 1000ft/lb of load. Apparently they haven't broken one of his yet.
  13. Yep all good! And yeah you would have just missed me. I was expecting you at 4:30. I don't usually wait around for anyone considering I start at 6:00am
  14. 5pm every day. Sometimes I stay back a little later but the missus put the hard word on me a while back.
  15. We're talking about cast iron here though. Probably the best starting material for that type of thing. If you get them done inside and out, they don't retain any of the heat.
  16. Specialised Power Porting 8 Gear Ave, MOUNT HELEN, VIC, 3350 Phone: (03) 5330 1123
  17. Nope. Welcome to the world of triple plate clutches. Any reason for needing a triple? Are you making near 800hp?
  18. Yes. But get it extrude honed first, then coated. You'll get around a 500rpm response benefit and more power
