  1. I'd be putting in another quart due to the fact it's a GTR. They are well known to have oil issues so the extra 1/2 quart only helps. Plus I have found 5L to be just sufficient for a GTR, 5 quarts is only 4.7L. Does 5 quarts get you on the full line or just below? (inc filter of course. And run engine for 30 seconds)
  2. Check your centre bearing and universal joints in the tailshaft. If they are ok then check the diff mount bushes and check the backlash in the pinion. Might need a shim in the diff to adjust it.
  3. Yeah, that clutch has got 2/5th's of f**kall chance of holding that torque. Maybe for a little while. Even if you are nice to it, it'll give out in no time
  4. Exactly how much oil are you putting in at the service
  5. Did you have a jump pack connected, throttle fully open and all spark plugs out for the compression test? If not, then the results don't mean anything as they will most likely be a few psi off...usually under
  6. You reset the computer after checking the code right? You need to do a reset to see if the code comes back otherwise it will just stay there for eternity. so every time you check it, it will say code 21.
  7. I would highly doubt you have 1100Nm of torque. I would say a more accurate figure would be around 500Nm for your engine.
  8. The pin layout is the same. A B C D E F on the Z32 All the instructions are in the Quick Reference Guide. Ignore the wire colours, the pins match
  9. Technically you can't claim a good morning if you just stayed up late. I think there needs to be some rules. Did ya have a quick maz while you were up?
  10. Ahh Pedders. Any idea on the spring rates? If not, can you tell me the coil outer diameter, number of coils including the flat ground ones, thickness of wire and total height?
  11. It's possible the camber is wrong but I think you'll find that the spring rates are too high. What brand coilover?
  12. The only reason why I'm repeating it is because when you are losing oil...and you know you have a leak somewhere....no matter how big or small, fix the leak first, then ask the question. It's common sense. It's also at the top of the engine so it's the best place to start considering the oil will move in a downward direction. Here's a picture of a GTST with a normal leak from the rocker cover gasket. It was also leaking from the front corners behind the top timing cover backing plate and leaking from the half moon seals at the back and leaking down on top of the gearbox. This one appeared not too bad from the top. It wasn't until looking from underneath that you will see where it is coming from.
  13. Yes it is quite common when you have leaking rocker cover gaskets
  14. No, I used to have guppies but the f**kers would always eat each other. We have a Tortoise now. His name is Shelby. He's about the same size as my hand. Approx 9 inches in diameter. We've had him for about two years and only just taught him some tricks now.
  15. No, stay factory manifold but maybe heat coat inside and out. easy to keep it alive but revs will have to be cut short at 8k until you can afford/want bottom end work. And I'm not talking about beat kind of bottom end work.
  16. RB24 is a waste of time. Plenty can be done with the RB20. Need to spend a bit on cylinder head work though if you want the numbers and torque. Leave the bottom end for now, take off the head and put on a pre-ported one with bigger valves etc. Go Pon cams, Angry German with surge tank injectors and a NISTUNE or I have an ECU in my 20 which has already been chipped and I won't be needing it. Already set up for 550's and a Z32AFM I can't use AFM with the new setup as there is nothing big enough for 1rwkhp So all you'd need would be injectors, fuel system, JJ intercooler and a couple of other bits and pieces. Could easily get 220rwkw on that turbo. Then when you can afford more of an upgrade (or even want one) do the cylinder head and go bigger turbo/cams. You can make 235rwkw on the stock cams with stock/untouched head. You can also do 205-210 rwkw on stock injectors and AFM too but I would be careful running them at those levels.
  17. What sort of coin you got? How much hp you want? and what do you want to use it for?
  18. Just make sure you don't mount it too close to the anchor coz the chain could drag it down
