  1. Sounds like you put the throwout bearing on back to front
  2. Where are you taking the measurement from (20/8mm)? The one on the left looks like the short one. You need to use that carrier but it looks like you have the wrong bearing on it. The OS Giken uses a small diameter throw out bearing. Not the standard one
  3. You are not supposed to use any product on the MLS gaskets. They should say that in the pack. Also Scotty ill take that bet. 50c says cracked head. You're goin down biotch!!
  4. It won't be the oil cooler but test it anyway. Head gasket or cracked head.
  5. At 110k I could almost bet my wage on at least 1 being broken. 80k and you've got a chance. 100k and its usually one or two.
  6. Ahh yep, fully variable then. Yeah that's not so easy. Only systems like Motec, Link, Wolf would be able to do that sort of stuff. We haven't played around with the standard VCT setups that much but would be interesting to see if the solenoid can be PWM'd to give a variable result like that. How do HKS activate their setup?
  7. Well I've never seen a Vcam setup so maybe they do it differently to everyone else. Can definitely get VCT control put in a microtech though. Obviously the Link does it better but it's gotta be quite a simple task right?
  8. Very nicely done guys. Although I'm not sure why you thought the G4 might not be able to? It's just an RPM switchable output. Even a microtech will do it if you ask them to put the output in the firmware.
  9. They are just a Denso injector. Poor latency at idle, poor spray pattern in general (not as bad as some but by today's standards pretty average)
  10. Do yourself a favour and bin the Nismo injectors. They are such an old design. The car will run so much better on the new Bosch or Siemens injectors
  11. VCT and ECU are not your problem. You're going about your diagnostic the wrong way
  12. Yep. That sounds ok. Let us know how tight that is to begin with please. You'll need to go out and do figure 8's in a culdesac somewhere to bed in the clutch plates. Usually 15minutes or so is enough.
  13. I would say try it with them in and see what you get. If you can put it all back together 'relatively' easily with the two old shims then it should be right. There is a bit of preload on those. I can't remember the exact breakaway torque but the number 60ft/lbs keeps springing to mind. I'll see if I can find it in my folders
  14. Are you all forgetting one of the most important factors here? Weight. Power, mph and et mean shit without it
  15. I've definitely built a few 8 and 9 second cars so I know what's involved. I'm not trying to detract from your build at all....it is truly an awesome specimen....but I can't see where $60k would go on an engine
  16. Holy shit, what can you possibly buy for $60k? That's insane. I could replicate that whole car for $60k
  17. What RB is it gonna slay?
  18. 435rwhp is a safe maximum assuming your pump is up to the task. For 300rwkw (400rwhp) you need 4.5L/min fuel flow to be safe
  19. 800cc injectors = 435hp at the wheels We used to devide injector size by 12 but have found it to be more like 11
  20. Not sure about your swaybar but our swaybar goes OVER the exhaust at the rear
  21. It's definitely a Bosch. Looks like its not deep enough either
  22. I can't see any picture
