  1. Let me see. hmmm oh wait, the next post is a doozy There it is. That's the gap, Every engineer knows this....I'm a better engineer than you If you kept losing 20% through the drivetrain you would never be able to make power. Guy A makes 2000hp through his RB25 drivetrain to the wheels. That would mean if there was a 20% loss that his engine is making 2400hp. Guy B makes 300hp, same drivetrain. He loses 60hp. Heat does not cause the loss of a further 340hp for Guy A. And by your theory, Guy A would make 2340hp at the wheels until his drivetrain heats up, then it's back down to 2000hp for him. 1000cc injectors should be capable of exactly 1200 engine hp. Considering he would only be making 1100-1150 engine hp...it's high but not impossible.
  2. I wanna know how it can drop off so much torque at the top and keep climbing in power
  3. How do you figure he'll lose 300hp from engine to wheel? You don't lose a percentage of your hp, you lose a fixed amount. Another guy with a 34GTT is not going to lose 50hp because his is stock and this guy loses 300 because he makes 1000hp. They will both lose around 80hp
  4. Sif man....Dentists build sick engines.
  5. You can't. That's probably the whole idea. 600rwhp is too much for the street. But f**k it's fun. And hilarious when people coming in the opposite direction move into the bike lane when the see you coming....at an angle.
  6. Sounds like a good reason to be against it.
  7. Certainly great work. I am hoping to get the same from my setup. Cept I will be low mounting mine (GT4502R) It's good to know someone is already dipping their toe in the water
  8. You have a turbo, how could you not believe in NOS? It's the same principle
  9. URAS: How much nitrous is he running?
  10. Didn't we come to the conclusion that you didn't take any measurements for clearances and it failed because of this reason? Or was that someone else?
  11. If it looks like a horse..... If it gallops like a horse.... If it whinnies like a horse... If it craps like a horse.... I don't care who says it's a rabbit....it's a horse godammit! People are only saying they are junk - BECAUSE THEY ARE JUNK. You can't say 'hey, tell me what you think about this stuff....but I only want to hear positive remarks' coz you'll go around in life constantly disappointed because no one ever told you not to do something. The world is full of good advise and bad advise. The wise man doesn't always give the good advise but he always knows when he hears it.
  12. Right on the money there mate. Customers of mine have said they could have saved thousands if they did it right the first time +1 Settle down mate, he HAS done it....so have I. He asked for people's personal experiences. rb26s13 personally experienced reading that other guys shit response and power figure so duly commented on its shitness. Other people made POSITIVE comments without 'personal experience' but you don't cry about that. There's no need to rant on about snotting people in the face. That won't get you anywhere...and it'll get you there fast. Unlike the Ebay turbo...it has much lag so it will get you there slow. The fact of the matter is, it's hit and miss. You can buy good stuff from Ebay, or sometimes you can get crap. If you don't mind the gamble, then go for it. Yeah, most of the crap I have been handed over the years hasn't survived the first drive. I pretty much refuse to fit them now.
  13. Yeah, got as far as the cat which is where I hope to get to. Ran out of gas so I'll buy some more tomorrow while I'm at work Good question. My site is also down so its the hosting server that is at fault I would imagine. How'd the suspension work out for ya? I'm doing invoicing and tax stuff at the same time. And his slow 33 will still be faster and better looking than your even on it's worst day.
  14. I don't have the time to watch TV
  15. Fixed
  16. Dr Drift off these forums also does them.
  17. And, if you're overseas, my mobile has international dialing so only too happy to call you wherever you are.
  18. It wasn't a smart arse comment. And if you feel you have to take an attitude like that, then forget it. It was intended as a light hearted comment...maybe read back a few posts...do you really think I am not trying to help?. I offered you my mobile number via PM so that you could call to discuss it in detail but to my knowledge you haven't used that resource yet. Offer still stands, though, I'm only here to help.
  19. But yeah, like you said...it will be something simple in the end. Have you checked to make sure your noid light works on another car? and have you checked to make sure your spark tester works on another car also? Now that you've tested everything else, you need to test your testing equipment
  20. If you don't have spark or injector pulse, the CAS is fine and all the power to module/ECU is fine, all earths are good etc, injectors and coils bench test ok, then it is technically impossible to not have spark or injector pulse. Congrats on having the hardest problem to fix....IN THE UNIVERSE!!!
  21. Not exactly sure but I don't see any mention that it doesn't backfire or something.
  22. yeah ONLY if it's 180 out. If it's 90 out it won't backfire or pop. The guy who says he needs the help isn't really being all that helpful himself. You suggest something and he says, nope...replaced that. That doesn't mean shit when you have two faulty sensors. Always expect the unexpected and don't assume a 'different' sensor is always a better one. This guy needs to be giving a little more information on what's happening. How has he checked things, what does it sound like when he's cranking it. Does it sound like it wants to go? or nothing at all?
  23. Is the D drive still on the camshaft? if it has snapped off then your timing could be 40/100/180 degrees out.
  24. If you are worried, when you buy the turbo, have it checked out by the guys at MTQ and they will be able to tell you what condition it is in before you even fit it. They may even be able to balance it for you to remove any possibilities of premature failure.
