  1. The gearbox will bolt on no problem. Just the clutch is pull type so you would need to swap the bell housing with a push type to use a push type clutch or convert it......or use the R34 clutch with it
  2. Take it to a shop that deals with these cars everyday and ask them to drive it. Any decent shop will be happy to take 5 minutes to tell you if it's normal or not. If its super loud it's probably not normal. A bit of noise is normal when you have a pod though. Better to be safe than sorry and what harm can it do to have it checked by a professional?
  3. What more ways? You've just been told, the same way twice.
  4. Just do them evenly. I normally start with the middle three, then follow around with the rest all a turn at a time.
  5. Could be RB20 then. It's been a long time since I've forgotten this information. Pretty sure RB20 runs a smaller 3 bolt pattern on the outlet though
  6. Sounds like you bought an SR20 turbo? Does it have a 5 bolt dump pipe or 6 bolt dump pipe? Also what you referred to as the compressor inlet is actually the compressor outlet. It has 3 bolts and that's where the air comes out. The part where you can see the compressor blades is the inlet
  7. It depends on what you were doing with the clutch, how much power you were making, how it was installed, whether the flywheel was machined correctly etc etc
  8. We could lynch them, then raid their fridge?
  9. 300rwkw? wtf do you need any special clutch for? NSK-7056HDCB - Exedy Cushioned Button....off the shelf.....will hold 300rwkw. You don't need the flywheel. Done
  10. It's pretty uncommon to see ring lands fail (break) on forged pistons and detonation can't always be seen on the top of the piston, or the ring, with a bore scope or even with the piston in your hand. There's detonation that causes pitting on the piston, then there's detonation that causes hammering of the pin bush, pin bore and big end bearing. I agree that flowing the plenum is a waste of f**king time though. What kind of BS is that? Seriously
  11. I'll measure one when I get into work
  12. It's 2.75 inch on the t/body. 2.6 inches on the crossover and 2.4 inches on the od of the intercooler pipe
  13. I would normally do a 2.5inch straight and give it a slight stretch over the aluminium cross over side
  14. Series 1,2 and 3 R33 GTST doesn't. Only the series 4 does I think.
  15. Due to the absolute precision manufacture of rings these days, most of them are almost bed in before you even start the engine. Bearings will knock off the high spots but apart from that your run in can be done in as little as 10 minutes just to put the engine under load and cut the rings in. The varying revs is usually a good idea too but not always necessary. Every engine is different and every ring is different. If the tuner is competent, he should hear detonation before it becomes a problem and should see things much sooner.
  16. Ring NPC tomorrow on 07 3277 9403 and Doug will be able to talk you through whatever your needs are. They can custom build any clutch to your requirements and as long as you're honest about what you are going to do to it, it will never fail until its old
  17. undo the 4 bolts that hold the engine subframe up so they are down to their last 2 or 3 threads. Take one completely off and put it in the bucket with your other nuts and bolts so you don't forget to do it back up. Then you gotta roll the gearbox over towards the drivers side about 10-15 degrees so the starter motor lump clears the firewall. If it doesn't come out, you are doing something wrong. It is an R33 GTST right?
  18. Because for 60-70% of people who come from something different, think that is the norm and from a marketing perspective, it works fairly well. Also remember that 80% of statistics are made up and shouldn't always be taken as gospel but 50% of the time, it's right every time
  19. What does that even mean? Is this that thing they call generation gap?
  20. He didn't say there wasn't a Neo with a Neo gearbox in the car before it was pulled out. I understand what you are saying but specifically what I meant was: If he pulled out his Neo Rb25 with Neo gearbox attached and thought 'shit, that clutch was new, I should put it in this 20 I'm gonna put back in here', then he needs to know it won't fit. Sorry to complicate the topic. Just trying to be thorough in light of the lack of information provided
  21. I don't know anyone who can even play the harmonica let alone play it well on cocaine
  22. As long as the RB25 wasn't a Neo from an R34
