Well said. And by my calculations 7 failures out of 1376 is 0.5% failure rate. This is less than the documented failure rate of Garrett turbochargers which was given to me at the beginning of the year. Everyone needs to settle the f**k down and take this up via the apprpriate channels. No one has denied warranty here, and it would do some of you good to read the conditions before jumping to conclusions. The company that manufactures these turbos has no responsibility to provide a warranty to you based on the fact that it is a performance product that can fail due to many many factors which are totally out of the control of the manufacturer. Dick head tuners are the main cause.....and there are friggin plenty of them.

I have yet to see one of these "bolt straight on". The cartridge is shorter by a very substantial amount so the compressor housing is moved back around 1 inch maybe more. The exhaust and everything bolt up nicely though, it's just everything from plumback BOV to intake piping has to be modified to fit it. May not be the case in the Rotor Master ones but the other 2 companies that do the exact same thing have the exact same result. If you don't mind, keep me posted as I would like to know if they are different to everyone elses.

Sorry to grab your post out of the bunch but there is a way for it to do that. Cartridge fails causing the blades to make contact with the housing. The chunk comes off and is too large to fit through the compressor wheel so it bounces around and takes chips off everything on it's adventure to fit between the blades. I'd lay money on this is what has happened.

I was saving your mobile number in the phone this very minute lol

I'm off to do some stuff. Fark sitting around at home. Lunch, pick up the rest of my tools from work, buy some puter gear, get parts for random friend from Repco, call DR Chilton and see whether Rohan's shiznit is ready to be picked up, organise getting fences done, order some parts from Japan, pat the dogs, feed the tortoise.......anything else? I hope I remember it all

go for it. Don't forget to add labour

The OSGiken RB31's only cost me $18k lol. Anyone want one of those? Regarding cost also.....For me to do for a customer what Noel did to his car (not including wheels, paint or brakes) You would get a small amount of change from $20k. That's a full forged and studded engine with all the bells on the sides and a decent amount of head work.
-
No you couldn't. That kind of build would cost well over $25 and that's without the Gearbox. The other items included at the bottom are worth a mint also. I would suspect around $30k for everything without checking up on prices.....maybe a tad more

Why don't you phone me you tard?

My comments were as follows: To start with - you won't get a rattle gun in there without removing the A/C. Unless you got some super dooper short arse rattle gun that I've never seen before? Secondly - You can use the breaker bar under the chassis rail and flick the starter to crack the balancer bolt but then you'll have the issue of doing it up again. Thirdly - Don't do what Mark is about to suggest as I have seen mechanics pop gearboxes a few times trying to crack them with the car in gear and brakes on etc. I have a tool which you may borrow but it must be returned. Makes everything easy and you don't have to worry about busting shit. I assume you also have a balancer puller to get the balancer off once you have undone the bolt? Offer still stands. Answer is no to Springwood. I have moved to another job. I will not be saying due to the immense number of people who rock up for advice during the day (which pisses off my boss). I don't start the new job til Monday and will be out and about tomorrow. What area can I find you?....I might be able to drop it to you or at your house if you are not there.

I've done that a couple of times before, not overtightened, it's usually leaving the old seal stuck to the block and not checking. 2 times in 10 years aint bad though. Never heard of the seal blowing afterwards though, or blowing due to overtightening. I would still be asking the question though.

EVO Owners are the devil too..............evil I tells ya, eeeeeeeevil!! I just want attention. But seriously Andy, sif you'd ask me that question, You know Shane is the only person who pays more than everyone else. Glad you sorted out your oil issue. Who did the oil change? or is it best left unsaid?

Because my delivery times are faster (unless I get put in Hospital like last week) and my prices are cheaper. I don't believe in marking up prices to gain profit. I only ever wanted to provide a cheaper alternative on parts so that fellow Skyliners could afford to enjoy their cars that little bit more. Unfortunately the government requires that I have a business to be able to do that. Do you want to buy something? lol.

I offered the tool to you last week.....and anything else you needed. Do you hate me?

Fixed speed camera locations (Brisbane) It has been revealed to Roadsmart the locations of the first fixed speed cameras in Queensland. Police have said that these locations have been chosen specifically due to the fact that they are not safe locations to have police, or police in vehicles operating the mobile cameras. The first of three trial fixed speed cameras will be positioned: Tarragindi off-ramp (M1) on Brisbane's Southside Bruce Highway at Burpengary east-side of the Story Bridge targeting vehicles traveling from both directions. That is all.

Failing concrete, some words of wisdom might help!

That is not true. The collector gasket is the Nissan name for Exhaust Manifold Gasket. You are after an Inlet manifold gasket. Part number is 14032-75T00
