I know, as a Garrett dealer myself, that it is not a documented or even noted problem with the 3071 or 3076. Nonsense. All of the Garrett int. turbos use the same type of gate and same setup. The only problem would be if the installer didn't set up the pre-load properly.

R33 GTST put $14k on it...but accept 12 if offered, no lower R32 GTST put $20K on it...but accept 16-17 if offered, no lower

Have you removed the cylinder head yet? Chilton are engineers. They do the work on the head after it has been removed, they won't remove it for you.

Thought I should also mention that injectors, ECU and balance rotors does not = 400kw. The standard S8 pump only flows enough for 400rwhp or 300rwkw at max. The turbos max out before this anyway. The factory intercooler cannot handle the airflow for 400kw and then you have the problem of Rotor A trying to leave the housing through Rotor B because you chose to NOT upgrade properly. Yes RX-7's are good.....but not that good.
