  1. Set them both to zero and dial them in on the dyno when you take it in for a tune. If it's a 20, the inlet will most likely stay at zero and the exhaust will probably be changed to 2 degrees retarded but leave it up to the tuner to set it properly.
  2. Or who you blow
  3. That is so true. Even though Ben's bonnet and bootlid are painted matt black, he's got pillar guages, atmo BOV, etc. etc., they never even look twice at him.
  4. I generally hate the police, but you have to keep in mind that most of us only ever have problems with traffic cops and traffic task force cops. Not all cops are bad....just the traffic mob. After I do an engine build I usually like to drive around the local streets with the bonnet off the car. I just ring the local station and let them know what I'm doing and where I'll be and they never hassle me. Sometimes it just takes a bit of give and take for a mutual understanding to take place....other times you just need to deck them.
  5. what are you doing with your old bar mate. Need to help someone out whose been in an accident. PM me if you are interested in selling it.
  6. has anyone actually got any flow charts for the RB turbos....just out of curiosity?
  7. valve stem seals is the most likely cause of that problem you are describing. As for the using water...how much is it using? how hot is the engine getting? You might just need to bleed the system correctly. Maybe the thermostat is not opening or delayed etc.
  8. bandaids work best for this.
  9. fully. Check ignition as Nismoid is suggesting
  10. Yeah I know all the different models available, my rep showed me all samples the day the turbo was available. They are a great setup but you still have to go to the trouble of changing the dump, oil and water hoses and intake. The only difference is you save money on not having to buy an external wastegate. They are limited in their flow and response due to the internal gated setup but make for a great upgrade on the 25's. Definately wouldn't recommend one of these on a 20 unless you have some major port work and other head work done. If anyone is chasing one of these turbo, let me know. I should be able to beat anyone's price.
  11. They do sit right in fuel tanks. I've fit many of these to many different models and you can run the tanks down til after the light comes on before it effects driveability. Download a Walbro flow chart and compare it to the Bosch flow rate. You'll see where your money has gone. The Walbro pump pumps 250l/hour at 3 bar (Yay, that covers idle) wait til you need 65psi of rail pressure....that soon drops off to 150l/hour. The Bosch pump will pump 235l/hour right up to 5 bar (73.5psi) .
  12. Can't go past APEXi for their kits. Flow and durability are second to none and the filtration is better than 99% of others as well.
  13. These turbos have been out for months. They are the XR6 turbo.
  14. Not sure of places down south but a good port job will cost you $1000. They pretty much go up from there. Extreme jobs can sometimes set you back $3000 or more. You pretty much can't go wrong with HKS cams, and at $1200 for a pair, they are not too expensive. If you are going for bigger valves etc. I would suggest a larger lift cam like a step 2 or possibly a step 3 depending on your aim. Just make sure you upgrade to the appropriate springs when doing so.
  15. I have the super streets on the 32. Absolutely unreal handling. They are also compatible with the electronic controller (EDC). I would recommend them to anyone, even those with track cars. RGM Maintenance's R32 GTR targa tasmania track car gained (I think) 5 places just from swapping from the Jap spec to the Aus spec Teins.
  16. If you are after something a little more 'bolt-on' friendly, the GT30R will not be too laggy. Good for around 500hp on an RB20 but even with the 0.64 rear housing....don't expect 20psi til around 4000-4500. I would recommend cams and head porting to assist but at least cams if you are on a budget. Price is $1750 for one of these.

This is the picture of them Pinapples
  18. Call Cresta Australia. Ask for John. They have a R32 non-mspec bumper there if you are insterested. Their number is (07) 3245 1555
  19. I can't believe you paid $840 for a GT28 through ebay. Brand new? I resell them for Garrett brand new for about $950
  20. Don't forget about the added resistance throughout the system due to the 3/4 of a meter long ignition lead. lol.
  21. Bring it down to my work and I'll sort out the light. Should be about $5. You know where I am. As for servicing, we can also take care of that for her, just tell her to ring and book it in mate.
  22. Thank you to all who have offered their assistance. I appreciate it very much.
  23. You do get a very, very , very small gain in the mid range but nothing that you will really notice. Cams make a very noticable difference.
  24. You shouldn't need to do this to a new BOV. Never use sandpaper on this internals, you will wreck it.
  25. fully sik uleh!
