I can get it done to the standard manifold...no probs at all. I am going to price up how much to make the adaptor plate and then how much to sprayweld it to the manifold....it's the only proper way to do it. Shouldn't be anymore than say $150 but problem is the dump pipe still won't go up to the T2 style flange...that's where you have the problems. I'll figure something out though.
  2. mmm. GCG Highflow, what more can I say?

Yeah they should be mate. I just don't think they are called that anymore. Can you tell me what hp rating they were and possibly what exhaust a/r they came with. They will match up to something on the list somewhere. Oh and BTW, I am sorry to say that due to the fact that the T04Z's sold out before they hit the shelf....Garrett in their infinite wisdom have decided to jack the living crap out of the price on them. They are now $2165. Retail on them has jumped to $2750. Sorry mate. I hope you didn't end up wanting one. I'll also send a message to my rep and find out what might match up to the old 3240 that you know.
  4. Thanks Daz. Brandon, do you want to run external or internal wastegate. External wastegate always costs a little more but always yields more hp in the end. PM me if you have any questions or if you want me to stear you in the right direction.
  5. yeah, soudns about right...probably just damaged to connection or soemthing like that....will only take about 15 mins to find out what the problem is....fix it and have it going again.
  6. Would you like me to fix?
  7. You guys just disappeared so I slowed right down for about 5 mins and still no one to be seen. I too got an evil stare from the Kodak patrol but luckily they had a bunch of bikes that were doing stupid crap in front of me that they were more interested in.

Back to the top for a bit
  9. They are so old now...it's not worth the trouble. It's basically a highflow your after though. Highflows are still about $1800 and are good for 400hp on your RB20.
  10. Spotted White R33 heading down the back way to Redland Bay. Waved....got a wave back. Also spotted shiteloads of skylines down at the spit this arvo...whoa what a turnout.
  11. usually $150/hr. It costs $320 to do the initial socket changover though. After that you can have it remapped as many times as you want.
  12. I'll be going..bringing the cam too.
  13. Usually when you fry those components they leave a strange smell. It does look to be burnt on the solder but with the rapid development of these units you can't be sure it wasn't just some dodgy workmanship. I would send it away anyway....better to be safe than sorry....especially with boost control.
  14. Well to start with....only use the 2.5L surge tank. 1.5 litres is too small for what you want and you would drain it too quickly. For fuel filters, you should use something like an SX fuel filter or try the Vortech. The SX goes for $50 and the Vortech for around $160. The SX fuel filter should be good for anything up to about 2000hp and has almost no pressure drop (0.1psi) for flow rates over 400L/hr. Need I say more? Ring (08) 8582 3499 for details on how you can get one. That is in SA. I'm sure they are available in Brisbane....it's just a matter of looking.
  15. The twin blade comp wheel is designed for much greater flow and response.
  16. So when do we stop talking about it and actually do something...I'm friggin bored.
  17. well thank you for your input. kthanxbi
  18. Gavin is my hero. Take your car to Sam and I'll bet it will run even better. Sam has been doing it for longer than Gavin ever has and people fly him all over the country to tune their cars. He has award winning drift nationals cars to his name and in my, and many others, opinion he is the best there is. < that is a full stop right there.

I got the price back to graft the RB turbine housing onto the GT30R and it is around $2150. You would need around another $150 to get the braided lines for water and oil done and to make up something for the 4 inch inlet. But still rated at 500hp with the RB rear on it and still bolts straight up to the stock manifold and dump pipe.

Most of them do in the smaller ones Chris. by small I mean GT2860R or smaller. Some of the larger ones do but is rare. I can let you know if they do if you have one in mind. Also you can use your standard actuator on a new turbo if you like....the actuator still does the same job.

ok and the SB8006's are the old skool GT30R...when I say old skool I mean GT30R is what they used to be called.....now they are a GT3082. Price for those is $1850 Bob.

I dunno. Most of the part numbers have been revised so that instead of a 3037 it might fall into the 3071 category. They have done a lot of shuffling around of late.
  23. Day cruises....night cruises....dinners.....track days. They are all fun. Why do we have to chose just one. I usually attend them all cept the track days.
  24. Well , funny thing is my highway mileage is friggin awesome. I get around 750k's to a tank on the highway....but only 350-400 around town. I can drive along in 4th gear at 100 and still not be on boost lol. for $2100 I can get your RB25 turbo grafted onto a GT30R front which will be a 500hp turbo on the stock manifold and dump. You will get full boost around 3500-3800 on that one. Only other setup costs are adapting to the 4 inch turbo mouth and oil and water lines ($100-$150 for both)
