Yeah the sports organic is the next step up. I was considering going for this one when I change my gearbox over. I have a 4 puk ceramic button with exedy plate. I think I'll stay with the button but go unsprung next time. I'll find out on Tuesday what the sports costs.
  2. I don't do HKS but I can find an equivalent turbo. It all depends on what you want your car for. Straight line....go the big single. Track work and fast response...go for upgraded twins. $2550 for a pair of 2860R's. That will need very little modification to fit (1/2 a hole on the exhaust dump) and you can achieve 700rwhp with the right backup mods. A big single like a T51 or even a T04Z will set you back $1900 and you will still have to outlay another $800 or so for the manifold to bolt it on plus change the exhaust right back to the cat plus change the inlet, run external gate.....all this would add up to around $3600. It is still cheaper and a far better setup to retain the pair.
  3. mmmm, 32's are soooo slow. Better than having a camry with an identity crisis.. oooops sorry, I mean a cefiro.

Ok, Boss has confirmed $270 including the flywheel machine.
  5. It basically relearns it's timing, fuel and ignition curve on a minor level. It will advance timing until knock is detected then retard timing by 2 degrees, then advance by 1 degree continuously until knock is detected then it does it all over again. It will fine tune the ECU to your current mods. I'm not sure you want to cure a timing retardation do you? It is obviously detecting knock and therefore retarding timing for that reason. You should be running around 20-25 degrees btdc at WOT full boost 6000 rpm. What boost are you running? and what basic mods do you have?
  6. Don't swap the AFM. The green stickered series one AFM is the only one that will plug in anyway. It needs to have an exhaust gas analyser put up it's arse to find out exactly what ratios it's running. It could still be running slightly rich but the computer will read lean. When sam remapped my stock ECU he tuned it to run leaner than standard to increase combustion efficiency. It read lean on my Datalog but was still pushing 12:1 ratios. No pinging and no leanouts. Remember with the new turbo and cooler on it will be flowing much more air at similar boost levels so the car should run slightly leaner due to this fact. Just another thing....have you tried resetting the ECU?
  7. You will need the Z32 AFM to achieve that power. Yes the GT28R is too small. There is not a lot that can be put onto the T3 flange unless it's HKS. I can't get HKS turbos but I can have lots of magical things done to Garrett turbos. I will talk to my guy tomorrow to find out what can be done with a GT30R to make it fit. All prices have come down since I signed a new contract with a larger distributor so it should still be fairly cheap even with machine work.
  8. 2560's are $1350 each
  9. With all those cops out and about Donut King is going to make a fortune. I don't know why everyone is so worried. If you aren't doing anything wrong then they can't touch you. If you give them a reason to look for something then you are just asking for trouble. I have been driving my line for over 3 years now and apart from a storm season where I was the catch of the day a while back, I don't get bothered unless I'm doing something stupid. If I'm doing something stupid and I get pulled up, I cop it sweet. If you keep your calm and ask the right questions, they can't get you for following speed unless it's for more than 200 meters and they have to be at a constant distance. C'mon people use your heads.

Probably around $250-$270 but I'll ask tomorrow. What type of clutch are you refering to?
  11. First of all....why would you buy a car that weighs like 2 tonne, they are renowned for blowing heater hoses under the inlet manifold, you can't change the turbos on them without basically removing the engine - which takes around 18hours on a hoist, they have no balls coz the car weighs so much, they look like a boat, they drive like a boat, the bottom end is nothing to run home to mum about and they are way too overpriced for the overall package. WTF?? I know a guy who owns two and he has had the worst headache since buying them coz they always need repair and they cost a fortune. The labour charge is like 2-3 times more because everything takes that much longer to repair on them. I don't care if they are Nissan's, they are no son of mine. I have disowned them. END RANT.
  12. Hey Mud, that one we were talking about is down to $46,000 now. PM for his mobile if you want to take a look.
  13. Spotted MRR34 at Chermside the other night....gave a few beeps and waved. You were turning into where the buses go - I was leaving. Also spotted a dark blue R32 with a girl driving.....BP Kedron. Played a little, it's not as fun when they're stock.
  14. Price for the GT3071R - 700382 - 20 is $1680

It takes about 3 hours including the flywheel machine. The clutch is actually 40% heavier duty than standard and is good for up to 220rwkw safely. The offer is available as long as I can keep my job there. lol

I've spoken with my new boss and he has agreed to do the 32, 33 and 34 clutches for $670 fitted. They are a heavy duty exedy clutch and are a good replacement clutch for power under 220rwkw. If you would like to have your clutch replaced just ring us at ABS Springwood (07-3808-3533) and ask for Michael. Tell him you were quoted by Daniel.
  17. Yeah, that's where I work now. I change jobs almost as often as undies these days. We are doing a fair bit of clutch work for 101 Motorcafe. I've done 3 Skyline clutches in the last 2 days lol.
  18. I have also changed my sig with the new mods
  19. where abouts are you... I can come out with the laptop tonight for a quickie if you like
  20. Why, what probs are you having?
  21. Sounds like a plan
  22. Plus my mechanic could beat up your mechanic anyway so there!
  23. I would comment on that if it weren't for the fact the 330 offset grind I built makes twice the horsepower my RB20 does....and it's NA. My mechanic is very good looking I'll have you know. He is highly trained and educated in the finest schools. I think you would be very impressed by his general knowledge Did I mention how awesome he is? You soooo want my mechanic to be your mechanic. Well you can't!!!
  24. So do we have to drive into the city to pick them up or are we all gonna meet on Christmas day somewhere?
  25. I'll have to save up for another week before I can afford to drive all the way out to Toombul. Maybe the bank will extend my loan.
