  1. There is an easier way to check your fuel pump and that is to check current draw at the fuel pump relay. If the filter is blocked it will come up to around 8 amps if the pump is rooted it will be 0-2 amps and if ok it will be 3-6 amps.
  2. Don't know of any reputable businesses down south. Definately machine the flywheel every time. Only costs $30-$40 and will ensure a flat surface for the new material to bed into. Also, I was fitting the Excedy clutches (40% heavier duty than standard) in 32's, 33's and 34's for $600 neat so you should have no problems with a budget of $700. It is a 4 hour job plus the cost of the clutch and machine. It is also a good idea to replace the spigot bush while you are there. Soak the spigot bush in oil for 24 hours prior to fitting. This will ensure that it is lubricated for the rest of its life and not just 5 minutes. Check the rear main seal for leaks but only replace if it looks like it has been weeping or the rubber is hard/brittle.
  3. I'll be there again Erin. I thoroughly enjoyed last years. I love a WELL organised cruise and what better way to do it then to help out the kids. Well done on last years efforts Erin and hopefully we can get the 100 target this time. If you need any assistance in your event tasks don't hesitate to PM me. I would be glad to help out as I'm sure all of us here would be.

  5. Have you tried replacing the AFM?
  6. I wouldn't like to take a gamble on someone's guess on that topic. You would be best to ring your local nissan dealer, give them your VIN number and have them check the difference in part numbers. After all, if you get it wrong, it will destroy your engine.
  7. Faulty reg in the alternator most likely. Take it to an auto electrician to have it repaired. This will also cure your power loss problems as the system cannot function correctly on 11.6 volts.
  8. Do not EVER use this spray. That shit just makes it squeal more. Plus it is bad for the belt. My opinion is that a belt should never make noises like that if installed correctly and you should never have to put any other kind of product on the belt to stop it from making the noise. If the belt is still noisy after retensioning then there is a problem with the belt or the pulley, find out which and fix the problem by replacing it.
  9. Nest time use a single hex socket and a decent rattle gun. You will have no problems then. In the meantime you have two options, 1: Heat the nut with an oxy until the nut is red hot, then undo as normal. or 2: Wind on another nut of the same type until they meet. Weld the two together with a mig and try again. Also the hacksaw idea is a good one. Just carefully cut at an angle through the nut on opposite sides, this will sufficiently weaken its grip.
  10. Is it erratic or systematic?
  11. Coolant temp sensor.
  12. Call this number Erin - 3208 3808 They are called hail air and they are on a huge billboard when you come down the escalators at the Hyperhole.
  13. I need something to use to wash my car...are they still really soft?
  14. If it is bled correctly and the master cylinder is adjusted correctly then you may need to get a longer push pin for the slave cylinder. remove the old one and get one that is approx 0.5cm longer....even a cut down bolt will do. Then all you have to do is fit the new longer pin in the slave and adjust the master push pin accordingly(no bleeding required to do this either).
  15. Nice work on the above. Good to see someone who will put in the time to try something new. Just becareful though because Xenon's are actually illegal here and so are modified lights that are not ADR approved. Not that any dumb cop is going to know the difference.
  16. Where are you located?, can't help with places to go if I don't know where you are.
  17. Or you can plug in my consult and do it that way
  18. Disconnect battery, stand on brake pedal for 1 minute....reconnect battery. Job's done.
  19. finished yet?
  20. yeah......yeah that's it, I work there. lol.
  21. ADR69 (full frontal impact occupancy protection) does not apply to any vehicle prior to 1995, however, all aftermarket panels must also be certified and have passed crash testing. So basically no, the bonnets are not legal unless they have undergone crash testing and have been certified by QT.
  22. I get all my work done at 3lit3 fors3 Performance. Never been ripped off.....ever! Goog bloke there who knows his shit. Friendly and great on prices too!
  23. What brand dyno do they use? I'm trying to sort out a place I can use for when DR-DRIFT comes back up to do some more tuning.

Not all of us are in Japan so we think of it as a priviledge to see something that is rare over here.
