  1. Yes I do know Sheree. She is a dancer from memory or used to be I think. Anyway, before I say too much more I would like to state for the record that I don't know her through these channels. Moving on..... I have nothing to do with MR Turbo as he $%cked my first one over 4 years ago and it cost me $2000. I think she might be talking about another Daniel but he probably wasn't as good looking as me or nearly as smart. I'll get back to you on the question above.
  2. To just do a rebuild would be only about $600 but for the steel wheel conversion and all the good internals you would need $1600. This turbo would then be capable of handling 18psi boost and rated at around 430 hp. Yes you would have to send the turbo to me and it would cost about $18 I think. Maybe cheaper.
  3. Highflow
  4. I only get fuel coming out when it is totally full and I'm half way through some major drift action.
  5. Damn, you CAN see everything.
  6. You can use sykaflex or anything similar. They put them in with compliance I'm pretty sure as the Japanese filler might be different. Mine has come loose too but I just left it.
  7. It cools the air in your cabin so you don't sweat in summer.
  8. Don't use any sealant on these gaskets. They are rubber and by using sealant you can cause the seal to slip away in places. You must thoroughly clean the head surface and the rocker cover underside surface so that is totally free of oil. I recommend using carbi clean or something similar which will evaporate and remove oily deposits. The half moons are a different story, get a small tube of 3 bond, It is grey in colour. Don't use anything else. You can get it from Nissan or Toyota. Put a small amount on the underside of the half moon so that when you press it down, it squeezes a small amount out to the side...notice I said small amount(not half a tube like some people do). I would also recommend getting new rocker cover bolt rubbers as this will help the screws all pull down evenly. They have a flat side underneath that stops when the thread runs out, if the seal is squashed, it won't hold the cover down properly. As for your idle problem...you need to check two things...maybe more but two for now. Take off the AAC valve (4 10mm bolts on the firewall side of the plenum) use the same carbi cleaner from before to liberally douse the internals. It is probably black inside with a build up of carbon. Clean out as much as you can. Even try cotton buds to get into hard to reach places. Once clean, give a small squirt of WD40 which will help lubricate it's first opening. Also check the small earth wire on the ignition module at the back of the coil pack cover. If the wire is loose you will be getting a poor earth which causes them to idle funny and drop out. Hope this helps all of you. *edit* I almost forgot, use the 3 bond to reseal the AAC valve. Only use a very thin film. This will ensure no air leaks are present when you start it next time.
  9. It all depends on how busted they are. If they are MEGA busted...there is some work involved. I have all the crap to get 'em out and I don't have a problem doing it. I would just be doing some boring service otherwise. Might add some excitement to my day. BTW people. I spoke to the boss about the trans flushes and he's going to work out something cheap. Stay posted.
  10. That is the sexiest sedan I have EVER seen....bar none. P.S. Sorry Adrian!
  11. To get 300bhp you are gonna need a bigger intercooler to start with. Your fuel pump might be ok but when you start pushing it, unless it's bigger than the standard one...it won't handle the task. A highflow is going to probably cost you a smidge more than that but that's not to say much more. It depends on the condition of your existing turbo. All up you would be looking at around $3200 to achieve your 300bhp. You could push your engine with the standard intercooler but with the increased air and probably increased boost, you will quickly destroy your engine. The more you compress the air, the more it heats up...you need to remove that heat, or transfer it as an intercooler does, to prevent your intake temps from increasing dramatically. With the larger quantities of air you also need more fuel and that's where your pump comes in. Sorry to be naggy. I can get your turbo highflowed but I would hate for you to get it done and destroy your beautiful engine.
  12. Free inspections of exhaust, suspension and brakes. Just don't ring up and say...I want a free inspection coz it gives us the shits... just ring and say you would like to have us check out your suspension or whatever. Ask for me if you like. I'll sort it out for you.
  13. Res in the boot on the right hand side usually an indication of Attessa 4wd system and it's the fluid for it.
  14. I never disagreed with you....infact I totally agree with your aproach...but it shits me when people ask stupid questions and don't do a little work for themselves and rely on people like you and me for answers. Don't get your back up...I am only saying that he needs to pick up a phone for answers to questions like...how much for a guage. Other than that....I totally agree with what you first said.
  15. Should be something like sykaflex (sp?) Is it black? from memory it was. Do you really need to put it back with sykaflex? No. Any heat resistant silicon will do the same job.
  16. You people are like a bunch of little kids. I mean...honestly, oil pressure drops to zero, instead of taking it to a mechanic or even phoning one.....you get onto the Forums and ask people for an answer that could take days to resolve. Then ask for the price of something you can easily get by going down to your local repco or autobarn store. C'mon, do you live locked in your basement or do you actually get out into the wild every now and then. Common sense often prevails in these situations and it seems as though many people are lacking it these days.
  17. Ok people, one thing has to be pointed out which will clear up most of the questions. The light works independantly from the guage, however, they are both from the same sender. If the guage drops to zero but the light doesn't come on, then the guage is your problem. Oil pressure is vital to your engine, if the oil pressure drops to zero and you didn't switch your motor off 5 seconds ago, then the engine is cactus anyway. I bent my crank and had a 55thou bend in my cradle and still got 4psi oil pressure even though every single one of my main bearings had shat themselves. Chances that you would have 0 oil pressure is virtually impossible unless you totally screw all mains, plus all big ends plus the relief valve in the pump. Get an aftermarket guage with a seperate sender....it is vital that you know your oil pressure on a more fine scale than 2, 4, 6. With the autometer guage, I know when my pressure drops 2 psi. $180...buy one...forget your problems.
  18. I'll try to make it.

  20. Yeah, no problems. We look after all our customers. We don't bull5hit anyone and we only tell you what needs fixing. We won't fix anything without your authorisation....even a light bulb. We are very thorough. Sometimes people get the shits because they own a crapper and we write down everything. Some people are totally unaware of how bad a shape their car is in. I would be glad to help your cousin anytime they need it.
  21. Have heard bad things about Drift King. BD&T are good but like you said, pricey. Have you spoken to Mercury Motorsports? They are a club sponsor and always look after us. Very in the know about everything. I would steer clear of Drift King if I were you. Also, if you want to upgrade your turbo, let me know as I can chew the arse out of anyones price. If you have any questions about work being done or what is needed to be done to achieve a certain level, just ask me and I'll help you out.
  22. Shut up
  23. That was Emanuel. He was the Area Manager at the time. He no longer works in this role, however, he is still employed at the Woodridge store. He's a top bloke. Some people take him the wrong way coz he can be confrontational but I never had a problem with him. We will look after you in the same way or better. Don't limit my offer to just Skyline drivers either. Family of forum members will get the same service and discount. Friends of forum members might but that may be stretching it a little bit. We will still look after them but not as good on price as forum members and family. After all, if we gave everyone discount, we wouldn't get anywhere.
  24. Why are they a cxnt to get to? I shouldn't have any problems doing it. We have the oxy there, I'll just cut it off  If it is the same as every other RB30 then I won't have any problems mate.
  25. Bing it in and I'll see if i've got something on the shelf. Probably cost you $5
