I tried every different browser I could. I was thinking of running a linix box but if you knew my dad then you would know that I have enough trouble with one computer running let alone the power usage of two. I didn't mean script kiddies either. I did something bad and it pi55ed off their leader or some 5hit. They got all cut at me and started to make threats. So I got angry and made some alterations to their email accounts. Then they started attacking me. I was like...why me, what did I do? lol. They'll get over it. They weren't the problem really. I know how to protect myself. But it didn't if I disabled active x controls or ran the best spayware adware blockers/removers, they just kept coming. I was constantly cleaning them out. I do use IRC constantly. I am aware of the risks involved and wasn't too concerned. I have never found anything that has brought my system down to it's knees. The main reason was really just to learn something new. I have run linux before but went back to windows as I didn't know much about it. This time I am determined to learn it. I know every other OS fluently. I went back and learned assembly agian for god's sake, I have the patience.

Women, 4WDs and carparks....... a recipe for disaster!
The Dan replied to jlnewton's topic in Queensland
This would be untrue if everybody owned them. The fact is, people have a choice. Human's have that right in life. You will never change the fact that people are going to want to own 4WD's (and no-one was saying that you wanted to change it either). I still think it comes down to driver training. Truck drivers have to undergo extensive training because of the large vehicles they drive and the responsibility involved in driving such a vehicle. 4WD's should be the same. They aren't going to restrict truck any more then they already have because people don't like the fact that they go slow, or because they take up all three lanes along kessels road so that traffic jams are constant. They should have a seperate licence for them so that people have to have special training to own one. Possibly even not be allowed to own one until they have owned an open licence for a set amount of years. With the seperate licence, they could charge an extra fee like land preservation or some other form of land regeneration. This would mean that people would be less likely to buy one unless they were actually going to use them appropriately. One other thing, and I said it before.....4WD's aren't that bad...but women should not be allowed to drive them. I if I were PM, the first thing I would outlaw would be issuing licences to women. Except you Erin coz I know you drive well. And all of my family members also. And my friends mothers. And the nice lady at the corner shop. But apart from that...no other women. Ok, I'll say it so no-one else has to...:bs!: -

Isn't it funny how you read your reply 3 times to make sure the grammar you used was also correct? -

No, I have been using computers since I was eight and have a diploma in Electronic Engineering computer systems. Problem is, I have no money - yes that's right, not even a spare $75 for a router. And I think I know how to protect my computer. I am not talking about protecting myself from myself surfing. I am talking about a team of hackers constantly attacking me. keyword being TEAM. And with the 40 GB a month that I download, it is hard to sit there 24 hours a day and tell windows what to do. What, do you think I'm a complete idiot? Well, what do I say here.....BRING IT ON!!! lol. Linux does a huge 5hit all over the front of Windows. I have never had so many problems with an operating system before. I gotta format every 2 months because of the crap that filled my HD. Sure...at the end of the day, I could sit there and block everything and just not interact with my computer in any way. But, truth is, I enjoy viewing web pages and general internet nonsense. If I didn't download so much every month or download the things I do (and that's not porn either so don't go there) then I probably wouldn't have these problems, I was just sick of windows, so I wanted to try something different. Oh I almost forgot to ask...is that alright?

Thanx Adrian, where did you get that photo of me? It's uncanny how much it resembles me in every way.

Women, 4WDs and carparks....... a recipe for disaster!
The Dan replied to jlnewton's topic in Queensland
I think the statistic says something like 40 % of accidents involving 4WD's are fatal to the 4WD driver. While only something like 23% of accidents involving passenger cars are fatal to the driver of the passenger car. 4WD's should be allowed on our roads but there should be some restrictions like not allowing women to drive them......or any car for that matter. As for the environment...if you wanna protect a Koala...sell your line and buy a pushbike. Most 4WD's have better fuel economy than our Skylines. All that asside. I think really that this topic is more rooted in the fact that people should take responsibilty for their actions. Anyone is potentially dangerous in ANY car, no matter what it is. I can drive a motorbike at 200 km an hour and plough through a crowded bus stop and kill 5 people. Just because it's small, doesn't mean it can't do damage...it's the same as 4WD's. But by buying a vehicle, no matter what make or model, your responsibilities are different for each one. 4WD's must be more careful when driving in small spaces and merging and to keep a better lookout for smaller vehicles. Therefore, I propose better driver training when purchasing one of these vehicles. Sports cars are more powerful and can accellerate very quickly, therefore, drivers must undergo better training when purchasing them. These drivers must learn to only use their power when needed. Bottom line is.....who cares what car you drive....GET SOME FRIGGIN DRIVER TRAINING. -
Yeah, well I was sick of windows crashing all the time and the 400 spyware/adware a month. I don't think I can get spyware/adware anymore so that problem is solved. I still have a dual boot with XP running. BTW, I still have a running copy of DOS 6.22, ALL Windows Versions, Redhat 7 and 9 and Fedora Core3. you say....what the hell do you know about OS's I'm the f$%ken OS MASTER. Linux aint that bad. Especially this Fedora. It way outpowers windows in all ways and has less vulnerabilities. Plus I was being attacked by members of Andre NET every day. I had to run 4 firewalls just to stay alive. Now...no probs and I have a massive artilary at my disposal....so now I go to war.

The Biggest Brain Explosion Ever!!!
The Dan replied to rednut's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Two for me.....At work....have the keys in my car out front. Didn't realise the boss had locked the front door while we were having a beer so that people wouldn't steal stuff from us. Boss had left before us (half hour or so). We locked all the roller doors down and padlocked them. When it came time to exit the building...oh no...door is locked....my keys are in my car which is no more than 2 meters from us. Had to ring all the surrounding businesses, on a saturday no less, to find out if anyone could get them out and unlock our front door to let us out. We could have been stuck there all weekend. This one is for my brother..... He's having probs with his alternator. I fix his probs but he still has a stuffed battery. He forgets to get a jump start from his g/f before she leaves in the morning in their good car. He proceeds to roll the car down his very steep hill to clutch start it. No go. The microtec doesn't even have enough voltage to power up. he gets to the bottom where his car is in the middle of the road. He decides that he can't leave it there so he gets out and starts to push it back up onto the footpath. Anway, car starts to pick up speed (slight downhill decline) forgets that he has left his drivers door open and it collects the street sign and rips it clean off it's hinges. -
I can only imagine why your hand is a blur. And I don't think any contact with the keyboard is involved. Cum to think of it....that's probably why you go through keyboards daily...try aiming to the left or something

I will be speaking to him tomorrow (Friday) $1900 is correct for the Garrett GT35R. He is getting back to me about the exhaust housing. On another seperate matter. The T04's that I was talking about earlier for someone, he will be giving me an answer tomorrow also. He has been away in Perth for a few days so I haven't been able to contact him.
-
Sorry everyone for not being online for a few days. I have recently changed operating systems and my internet is still giving me grief. Emails can be sent to me at [email protected]
-
You are right, the 25/35 would be a better match with that engine.
-
Do you just want the exhaust housing(seperate) or are you talking about getting the 35R with the 1.06 ex housing?
-
My GF doesn't like to come along on most of the cruises so you are more than welcome to fill a seat if I go on any. Mine doesn't back fire but it goes twice as fast as a GTR (almost).

Mate, if you only want 230 rwkw. I should be able to get you something for around $1700 that will come on full boost at 3000rpm and last way past redline. General rule is....if your engine stops producing power, so will the turbo. Or even if the engine reduces in power, so will the turbo. You would probably be best to go for something like a GT25/30. you would be best to wait until they come out with the T3 flange configuration as this will mean a couple of hundred less in fitting costs.
-
The other thing I forgot to mention was that I was getting almost 220 rwkw out of my RB20 highflow on standard injectors and standard ECU. That was pretty much the max for it though as injectors limit the horsepower. So like I said before, you can still get the 250 rwkw but you can't gaurantee the life of the turbo. Plus for the extra $500 you would be mad not to put on something better suited and put out 300 rwkw
-
Yes, the highflows are only rated at around that figure. And like I said previously, it doesn't mean you can't get 250 rwkw out of your engine with that turbo on. It just means that the turbo is working overtime and is not built to withstand punishment to that degree. Those turbos are capable of handling those horsepower figures but for how long? If you fit things like oil coolers and use a 360 degree thrust bearing, then you will have no trouble supporting 250 rwkw and still have a reliable turbo. Another example. Get yourself a 1000hp Skyline and bolt on a highflow turbo. Give it a couple of laps around Philip island and I bet there won't be much left of it. It will also reduce the performance of the engine somewhat. It is all about getting the turbo that matches your engine and mods.

yes, I believe they do. But I will confirm for you on Monday.

Check to see if a power steering pressure switch is present. I;m not quite sure if there is one there. This could also be faulty as it would not tell the AAC valve that pressure is rising in the rack.
