  1. I do now. It took me half an hour of google image searching and cross referencing to find it out though. I take my perversion very seriously
  2. It depends on EXACTLY what you are trying to achieve. Keeping 4WD? I assume not You have not been descriptive at all about what you want. With an adaptor plate, you can bolt the tin sump to the stagea block and just make a custom pickup which is easy to do.
  3. old gasket is old. Seen hundreds and hundreds in my time and that gasket is years old IMO
  4. Yeah you're right, the higher trim will have a higher flow. I just can't see 450awhp comfortably....neck ringing yes maybe......DEFINITELY NOT a 500hp setup
  5. Incorrect The 707160-7 has a 44.5mm inducer and 60mm exducer on the comp and the same 53.9mm turbine that all the 2860R turbo's share The 707160-9 has a 44.5mm inducer but only a 59.4mm exducer on the comp wheel.....smaller
  6. Yeah I'm not saying you can't make more than 400hp at the wheels with that turbo but if you're going to tell me your RB26 is standard bore and stroke, runs on 98 and under 22psi of boost, then I would say you are wrong. You can, however, make 450rwhp UNCOMFORTABLY if you want to pump in 30psi of boost and water meth injection or 30% meth or E85 etc. -9's are smaller than -7's and you can only ever expect 400rwhp out of -7's. Sure a little more can be had but usually that will be related to the fuel being used.
  7. It's not that the pickup won't fit, it's in the wrong location. RB26/Stag/anything 4wd runs the pickup from Journal 4 (middle of the engine), RB20, 25, 30 non 4wd take it from 1 journal forward at #3
  8. No he can't be using -9's for 500whp. They are only good for 400whp.
  9. 500 hp is easy on stock head You can make it on lower boost with a WELL ported head though
  10. In the LAST pic you posted, if you put in on the carrier with that side facing towards the clutch, it is wrong. You are going to hear loud screaching sounds when you press the clutch in.
  11. I thought I was very descriptive. The picture from justjap shows the back of the bearing. That side points towards the back of the car. The other side has a ROUNDED face which goes against the clutch. Or......take it to a mechanic and all your worries will go away
  12. Yes, the factory one looks like it has a two piece setup on the bearing face whereas the exedy one looks like it's all one piece. That is supposed to be like that. The rounded face goes against the clutch and faces towards the engine, the flat back edge of the bearing goes onto the bearing carrier first and faces towards the gearbox
  13. We siphon all other fuels out before tuning and put BP98 from the servo at Stapylton QLD. IMO it doesn't matter where you go, you can get a dodgy owner who can do anything to their fuel and 9/10 they won't get caught. But if you go to a massive servo with a huge customer throughfare, you have a better chance of them being clean/good quality as they have a greater chance of law suit if they f**k up and they are more likely to be tested more often than a small local servo out the back of black stump. If you are absolutely anal about your tune or the fuel you are running on, buy a bottle of VP Racing octane booster. It costs $20 and will certainly make up for any bad batch of fuel you put in until you can get your regular in there. If you are in a remote area and you are suspicious of the fuel being provided, write a letter to your local member or advise the office of fair trading and see what they can tell you. We shouldn't let these dodgy operators continue to provide poor fuel, we pay enough for the damn stuff!
  14. 1. Yes 2. Definitely ok 3. I have never ever seen a restrictor come with a gasket and I have bought dozens. But the Tomei Oil Gallery Orifice is 1.5mm as stated above. Refer to the forced induction section for restrictor sizing depending on application and pump being used
  15. Get a retune on the Boost98 If you are out, put BP98 in it. It will make 2/5ths of f**k all difference but you definitely want to get a retune on the lower quality fuel
  16. You are thinking too much about it. Just put on a 1.3-1.5mm and drive it. If it's too laggy.....add Nitrous
  17. And here I was all along thinking it was a battery that did that. Where can I get one of these fuses Chris?
  18. LOL, your work filters the words 'ass' and 'bastards'??
  19. Yeah but so was Doom 3 by today's comparisons but I still played that for 72 hours straight some times. For me, it's more about entertainment value rather than which game has the best graphics and/or screenplays. I think 90% of it will be a 'nostalgia' type entertainment where I'll remember how much fun I had playing it 10 years ago. $100 (or less) for a few weeks of that is worth it IMO
  20. I shall be purchasing said game this evening. You will all remember such lines as: "Blow it out your ass." "It's down to you and me, you one-eyed freak!" "Your face, your ass, what's the difference?" "You guys suck." "Suck it down." "Those alien bastards are gonna pay for shooting up my ride." "It's time to abort your whole friggin' species." And my personal favourite: "You're an inspiration for birth control"
  21. I hope I can make that much in my 32 when it's finished. I picked up my block from Chiltons this morning, just gotta put it all together now and port the head. I'm hoping my 4 year old $100 225/50/16 tornados will be adequate for traction
