  1. Gotta be careful running those plugs with some ignition systems because they aren't resistor type but I know for a fact you already know that. Still trying to work out who you are
  2. There is a thread a week about spark plugs. Answering the same question 50 times a year doesn't help anyone. It just adds to the problem. There was a thread only last week and it was answered quite well I thought. And yes I was being sarcastic but I'm like that sometimes. The people that know me would usually laugh, those that don't might think I'm a prick. I don't mind. I help the ones that I can help, I don't help the ones that don't help themselves by searching first. To answer your first question, there is no flaw in your method. It's sound advice and I feel that the question was answered appropriately so I made a very clear sarcastic remark to make a point. I just didn't know I would be arrested for it
  3. Haha captain obvious. That's a good one. Who knows php around here? Can someone rename the search button to captain obvious?
  4. If I say yes will the thread continue?
  5. I don't think we've talked about this topic enough so I'm going to disagree with all of you. Please continue
  6. It was a fitting that had vibrated loose on the side of the sump for a catch can breather. A bit of oil down but no biggy
  7. He would have been standing next to me and Sean (tuner from EFI). I build the engine for the red VL "IGNITE" and we were trying to get an 8.60 but best we did was a 8.71 @ 157mph.
  8. I've said it before and ill say it again..... You're all cúnts
  9. 10-12 hrs a day, 6 days a week for the last ten years. What's an RDO?
  10. And 32/33 GTR coils are exactly the same as RB20 and S1 RB25 coils. There is no difference.
  11. Drop in as long as you buy the correct coils
  12. Ok well if you have noises in all gears except 4th, the problem is likely to be a counter shaft bearing. It's the only time the counter shaft has no load transfer. Is the sound definitely still there in 5th or is it just so loud from the road noise that you can't hear it?
  13. Have you tried Oh-rings instead Jez?
  14. It really depends on the symptoms mate. I'd like to say its the input shaft bearing but in reality only 1 in 30 ever are. It's almost impossible to shag that bearing. It is most likely to be the hard casing worn off 4th gear and the opposing counter shaft. So depending on if your symptoms match that, you need to replace the counter shaft and input shaft to fix it. About $1000 for those two parts from memory and then another $1500 for gearbox rebuild and about $350-400 to R&R your box....roughly
  15. Yep. Straight in no kissing
  16. More like a middle eastern coffee I would have thought.
  17. Not really sure mate. We normally don't see it happen within a few weeks but cars that have sat with lines out in the open air after about 2-3 months it does become a problem. If you are going to have the car off the road for more than about 6 weeks, put the injectors in a small container filled with WD40 or similar. The rest can just be flushed out with regular fuel through the lines before you start it up E85 kinda crystalises rather than solidifies. Probably not the best choice of words.
  18. Yes. Injector plus rail adaptor plus wiring adaptor = direct fit Injectors are about $132 each and come with the rail adaptor and plug
  19. Flow matched and dead time tested. All the bosch injectors are flow matched within tolerances also but if you use the search function you will see that people suggest to clean and flow them before use regardless
  20. Yeah it does solidify in the lines and tank but usually re-disolves when you introduce fresh E85
  21. Automotive Service Solutions in Brisbane, QLD I would have thought there was someone over there who could do the same thing though?
  22. I build a lot of engines mate.
  23. Round 7 FIGHT!!
  24. How much do you want for them mate? I always keep spares of those and can definitely use them. Nissan down here keep them in stock (for me I presume) but I only have RB26 ones left. RB26 runs a larger bolt so they will only fit 20/25/30 if you bought them for a 30. I think SR runs a different size as well but not sure on CA (I have one here but who cares) They cost me less than $1 each fro memory but let me know what you want for them and I'll sort it out for you
