  1. You're missing the point somewhat, you don't run the maximum timing until it pings, then back it off to make it safe, you run the maximum timing for torque and when torque no longer increases when you add timing, you stop. 15 degrees may be all it needs to achieve it. Having 20 or 30 degrees in the same spot is not going to make you go any faster, in fact, probably slower
  2. Nothing you can do mate No offense intended but it's really your own fault for not kicking her out of the house or confronting her sooner
  3. Ok maybe I should re-clarify - yes you can fix it, there are many ways to fix it. There are no ways to fix it properly. If you rev it too high the balancer will come loose again due to the harmonic vibrations and microscopic movements and twisting of the crank. Heat will also play a part in it's demise. Fix it, but know the risks if you do
  4. There is no way to repair that without risking problems later on. If you use it without repairing or replacing, you will regret it later
  5. No difference unless it's neo
  6. I'll fart on your sundae if that's what you really want?
  7. Creation of baby - $0 Movie to pass the time waiting for baby to sleep - $4.95 Baby wanting to stay the f**k awake til past 1am - $0 Deciding to clean your phone up by doing a full reset and restore to original settings and forgetting to set all your alarms again - F$CK YEH! For everything else there's coffee - and a damn lot of it!
  8. You're right, so I added a - to offset your silly behaviour
  9. Read his question, read my answer
  10. Maybe leave a present for the director on your desk as well. I suggest flowers for a lady, matchbox car if it's a bloke. 69 Mustang can't go wrong. You don't wanna take the chance he might not like imports.
  11. Just leave a big A4 sign on your desk in Nikko saying "Hey!, Don't forget about me"
  12. R33 RB25DET rods are EXACTLY the same as RB26DETT rods
  13. I too, have desoldered many before but I can tell you now, if you sit there with the solder iron on it for too long, whe nyou go to lift it, you will pull the track up with it. The ONLY way you should do it is with a heat gun or cut the pins, then manually extract each one with a bit of heat from the solder iron and a pair of pliers. I hope it's not too late
  14. +1 cut legs off with dremel. Or you can use a heat gun on the reverse side but you need to make sure you concentrate the heat onto the rom and not the surrounding chips
  15. How do you blind an Asian? Put a windscreen in front of her
  16. Never seen one do that before. What may have happened is the cam caps were on incorrectly from the build or possible not tight or maybe the threads stripped. I have pulled apart many engines that have had stripped cam cap threads from previous engine builders. The worst ones even come with silicon to hold the bolt in place. Yeehaw!
  17. A full 100k service might set you back $1500-$2000 depending on the oils/parts used but certainly not for a belt and water pump change. $400 is pretty cheap for timing kit and water pump, I don't know if Kudos would still be able to do those prices as all the water pumps went up in price aftermarket and they are still a lot dearer genuine. The timing kits are still the same as they always were.
  18. Shouldn't it read the same as most? If you have 90 compression, you have issues
  19. The belt, bearings, seals, water pump, coolant and a new bolt is only about $800 supplied and fitted.
  20. It never ends, kicking the man while he's down! Miso, block your ears mate. omfg teabag teelow, I am going to make that one stick. Next time he's down at the workshop. 'Would you like a coffee Noel? or perhaps a cup of tea?'
