  1. No, you need to get a genuine one. They usually carry them in stock. Where are you located?
  2. RB26 is different from all the others
  3. Check your air flow meter and check your intercooler piping for leaks
  4. Soooo, have we worked out who lives near Toowong, St Lucia, Kenmore etc yet? Seems like an awefully long time to answer a question like that. Almost as long as it takes to install a 3 puk button clutch?
  5. If it has slack to slip on the crank when turning anti clockwise, then what do you think happens when you turn the belt clockwise? The slack moves to the other side. Therefore, it would be far too loose. Yes the 'engine' is designed to rotate one way but no the belt is not. The belt has a rounded tooth design and it doesn't matter which way you rotate it, it will have equal possibility of slipping either way. Also the tension on the belt does not change, if you rotate it clockwise, the tension is on the idler side, if you rotate it anti-clockwise, the exact same tension is on the tensioner side.
  6. They're like $140 brand new from Nissan. Why would you bother trying to get a crappy second handya one?
  7. I thought it was obvious?
  8. Personally i'd be waiting til the new year then
  9. Replace your spark plugs. Starting the car for a few minutes each week is a good recipe for fouled plugs. Buy yourself a battery charger, it's much more simple. If you are going to drive it, clear it's throat and make sure it gets to operating temperature and stays there for a few minutes
  10. Opinion? Take it to a professional. It'd be lucky to cost more than $250
  11. Does it have any mods? I mean real ones. Or is it just body kit and paint with some rims?
  12. Why would anyone pick a 4088 over a Z when the 3788 has the same comp wheel as a 4088 but smaller turbine? The 3788 would still be a better choice for response
  13. You can bet they will be more than 10% dearer
  14. Why? Because they make comp wheels out of billet? There's more to a turbo than the compressor and Garrett have always led the way in making an all round high performing turbo that's RELIABLE. Borg Warner know what they are doing as well but Garrett as a company were waiting until after the economic fallout before putting this all into production. I would always pick a Garrett over a BW.
  15. +1 Have seen -5's at over 700whp, another car at over 620whp.
  16. Ask your tuner. He is the fine line between life and death. 200hp with a bad tune 600+ with a good tune
  17. If that were to happen, then there is another problem. There shouldn't be enough slack to do that
  18. Gimme a call tomorrow 0407 111 229 and I will measure the two gearboxes I have. Will need reminding though, hence the phone call
  19. Sounds like you added too much "I'm not going to pay" into your first email instead of "is there anything that can be done?" He may have misunderstood your intentions but if I was buying something off Yahoo auctions and got a mate to buy it for me, then it wasn't exactly what was in the picture, so I tell my mate, I'm not paying you for it...even though he has only DONE AS INSTRUCTED TO DO BY ME and paid for it himself already.....I'm sure he'd be pretty pissed at first too. Japan auctions are for Japanese people. If you can't read Japanese, then I wouldn't be giving Tom shit about his English speaking abililty. You cast the first stone IMO.
  20. Are you being serious?
  21. What's the point of going a dirty 30 if you aren't going to do it properly? Cast pistons and 12psi on a 35 will net you around 300-320rwhp. Nothing that can't be done on a stock 25 with less mucking around.
  22. Put on a 3582R and the extrude honing is a great upgrade. And costs a shiteload less than a highmount.
  23. If the question said 'I have a 2835 on an RB25 and is it worth it?' then yes you are right, the answer is no. But you can't help poor turbo selection. That like saying can I make 400rwhp on my RB25? The answer is yes. Can you do it with the stock side mount intercooler? The answer is no.
