  3. can you give me a good price on front bar and left guard? Managed to understeer into some armco just before and need to fix on the cheap 0458 162 430
  4. Forgot to mention this, the guy who was doing the intercooler clamps on my car asked me a weird question ... Him : Is this under pressure? Me: What? Him : Is this under pressure, you know boost pressure? Me: ( totally confused ) err yes im running stock 7psi but usually 12psi Him: Ok I have to do the clamps up a different angle then Me: Ok ...... I was amazed by this I could not decide if he sees lots of NA cars with intercoolers or he has no idea ????
  5. why not roadworthy? I thought they were safer than bushes
  6. so you are spending 10k on an NA 30 Head with 25 block? This is quite possibly the worst idea I have ever read on a car forum. For 10k do something decent .... even though I hate the idea you can get an Ls1 crate engine for around 6k
  7. Went to the QLD club tech night at fulcrum last night and I have about 9 degrees toe in on the rear, the left adjustment is bound up due to being very close to the exhaust and Fulcrum guys were worried it would snap. They recommended I goto nissan and get a new Pin, went to 2 dealerships today they have nfi what im talking about and claim its all aftermarket. I tried telling them that its an N/A non hicas rear end without the hicas adjustment there and they refused to look they just kept saying it must be aftermarket >< ... so I failed on both accounts so I am looking at getting some adjustable rear toe arms to sort this out asap. Can anyone recommend a decent brand to look at? Not interested in dodgy ebay items as I would like my suspension to stay intact but not chasing the most expensive bling either, just a good solid item I am looking at these but not sure if they are the goods? http://www.gktech.com/index.php/s14-s15-r33-r34-rear-toe-arms-sold-out-more-eta-late-july.html on the GK page it says rose joint suspension is not legal for Australian roads? I have rose joints on my front end and never had a problem ?
  8. was a great night, beers and stories were also interesting!! Very happy with how things went even if they did break off my super strong JDM intercooler clamps that had clamping pressure of a 90 year olds bladder. I learnt lots and the guys are going to let me take my car back in and fix up the rear toe arms for free.
  9. Cheers will give it a go, do we have any sponsors that give good deals on them?
  10. what counts as "decent" ?
  11. Im looking to do an upgrade on my brakes without spending too much $$. Currently I am running DBA 4000 rotors (the old directional design) with stock rears and unknown pads / fluid I was giving it a pretty hard workout at happy laps today at the end of the QR straights and after about 20 mins pedal went straight to the floor - just went at turn 6 without indication not a fun feeling, somehow managed not to come off the track using some hand brake and gears and let it all cool off. Just before I had the pedal at the floor moment I noticed vibrations under heavy braking from about 160km/h - Kind of like driving with warped discs haha After it had all cooled down 10 mins later pedal was fine and vibrations gone with pedal being nice and firm again. I am unsure if this is a pad / fluid / disc issue, I don't want really bitey brakes as I do not have abs I would rather something progressive with good feedback. Any recommendations what I should be doing? Would it be simple as a fluid change?
  12. ok im convinced whoever this is actually works there or somewhere close by, 3x SAU stickers on each 1/4 window - im at the regatta at least once per week and its driving me insane lol usually parked on the road right at the exit between regatta hotel and 1st choice
  13. never heard of an abs light needing a reset, only service reminder lights. I think you have another problem somewhere

  20. I have no idea what the brakes are, it has 5 stud so probably upgraded to turbo? Im not really sure how can I tell? and Tony, the engine was swapped to turbo , then rebuilt sometime later
  21. Hi, im a newb with mod plates, never had to get a car mod plated and I dont know what actually needs mod plating - Quick history is this, car is originally an R33 S2 GTS Auto, car has had following swaps done, Engine swap to 25DET Gearbox swap to 5 Speed coilovers Slotted rotors FMIC ( return flow type ) Now im pretty sure the last 3 dont need plates but what about engine and gearbox? do they need plates??? I have been told yes by some and no by others, I have zero history of when the swap was done, previous owner purchased as it is, spark plug failure caused him to have engine rebuilt that's about all I know ..... I have no idea with the legalities of any of this but I want to stay away from the defect notices ( im in QLD if that makes any difference )

  23. I used to run sounds for the bands at the beergarden on cavil, very awesome venue for party atmosphere fri / sat nights. Good Sunday sessions, Brent the resident DJ there knows his shit as well. Depends what you are chasing for entertainment? Doof? Bands? Irish? Club? Strip Joints?
  24. +1 to the above post, helicoil is piss easy, drill, tap, coil, snap the end off. Can be difficult to do while in an engine bay, get it out of the car so you can drill square
