i havent been on the drag strip yet and it might be different cause its so sticky but on the street i think i could take off better with the stock clutch before it started slipping. I got a button clutch now and i either take off slowly or i spin the wheels. Takes a bit of getting used to i guess

i dont know how many fwds will be attending. Wouldnt it be easier and more accurate to just get everyone on the track for a qualifying lap and then split people up into groups withing time brackets. that way it doesnt matter what car you have, what tyres you have or how hard tuned your car is. Your driving with people that do similar times which is whats important

yeah they showed me so im not sure what the go is. The only thing i can think of is where they tested me my car echo'd really loudly sorta like when you drive through a tunnel

looks hot without the bonnet lol. Why did you take off your manifolds. Are there big mods i dont know about... Is that bonnet fibreglass or did you just cut your existing bonnet?

i got defected for atmospheric bov and exhuast reading 97db. i got it tested and it only read 89db. Anyone who knows sound knows that theres a massive difference between 89 and 97

i would go but it'd be screwed for work 2morrow. I need my sleep haha

where do people get the lock bars from? I got an r33 and was going to take mine off but didnt really know where to get the lock bars made up. I've taken corners at high speeds before and i think the skyrice handles fine even with the hicas

Basically people just think up an idea of what they can do to there car and do it as crazy as possible. the more unique and extreme the better. Within limits it seems to be more about quantity than quality to me tho.

Hey all. Just spent literally all day cleaning, applying wax & buffing my car so i thought i'd take some photos to share. I tried to limit the blurryness this time by using a stand but with my limited photography skills and an average camera the shots were a little less than desirable. The photos don't really show off the effects of all that time and labour but it looks hot up close and the paint is now slipperyer than a teenage girl on prom night. If you're going to the afternoon track day in November make sure you come up and say hello, atleast then i'll know some people from here...

cool, thanks for the clearing that up mountain runner. I think from a noobies perspective like mine there's alot to think about but when your on the track driving it'll pretty much all be common sense anyway.

making a complaint wont do anything. I had a guy do a hit and run on my car, the police knew who he was the crash incident report recommended a charge be laid and 2 months later of me asking they still hadn't charged him. The lady officer i reported it to accused me of being on drugs and tryed to convince my parents i wasnt completely innocent even tho i was stationary at the lights. She was sympathetic to my situation until i told her i owned a skyline, from there it was all down hill. They arn't above the law but really what can you do. There not going to take a complaint seriously against one of there own.

One final question i re-read the timeattack website and it says when a car is behind you ready to overtake, you must indicate when they are clear to do so and not have a car next to you during a corner. When they are over taking are you suppose to back off the throttle so the over take can finish sooner & also since tail gating is dangerous how do you know if there wanting to overtake or they just happen to be similar speeds but may of had a better corner to take up the space? Since the whole day is based of consistence it would seem pretty stupid to be constantly slowing down to let others pass and then be slown down by them.

One last question i only got a very average amount of power at the rear wheels but i still cant seem to get the power to the ground powering out of corners it always just ends up as a bit of a drift. Would the best option be A just put up with it and go hard B put the stocko's on the rear, your only gonna fry the tyres anyway might as well help save the hip pocket or C Power later when your car body line is straighter.

I love it the silver front bar with the matt black lip looks hot. Then again i got a 33 gts-t with a gtr front bar the same colours so ofcourse im gonna think its hot lol. I went shadow chrome wheels tho, i didnt relise black would look so good

hey i saw your car at jambo, looks hot. One thing i noticed tho is the weaving of the carbon fibre on the front bar lip is different to the bonnet. Was that on purpose?
