looks like i got my facts wrong. The car is fitted with a 32 bracket using my 33 pump. The ross balancer is a two piece but i cant space out the pwr steering belt ribs becaue of the design. the workshop are gonna try and press on the pwr steering pulley for me.
-
there was nothing wrong with my r33 pump but while the car was still in pieces we knew that the pump wasnt aligned & i could remember something in the pdf guide about r32's having some advantage over the r33's. i didnt relise it was the bracket not the pump. atm the pump is too far forward and needs to be moved back. Does anyone know if i put the r33 pump back on and use an r32 bracket if it'll line up any better? I'm using a ross gtr balancer btw

hey guys whats the fix for the pwr steering belt alignment. It's an r33 gts-t using an rb25 head & rb20 pwr steering pump. the bracket all fits fine now but the belt is mis aligned with my ross balancer. the belt hasnt fallen off yet but you can see its badly mis aligned and im worried once the engine is worn in and i get up it for when i take it to the track its just gonna pull straight off. Theres not much gap between the pulley and the pump so i cant push it on anymore, i cant slot out the bracket bolt holes and slide the whole bracket back because of the bracket design and i cant machine the bracket and space out the gap between the front of the bracket and the pump. Surely someone has come across this and worked something out

Hey all. Just thought id share my excitment! I saw my engine running for the first time in over a year this arvo. Its a built 25/30 with a gt3540 on it. Still wearing in the engine on the dyno but we did a lil mini power run. Atm its rev limited to 4,000rpm and has the same effect of hitting rev limiter once the vehicle hits 7psi. I got 197rwhp with the vehicle on boost at 2,500k. I have to take it for a drive 2morrow wearing it in and using up the old fuel so we can tune it properly. With a 0.9bar gate i'll have to be very careful not to hit boost limiter.

nice car buddy! Curiously how much did it cost you?

400r Side Skirts + Rear Pods

hey were these made off orginial moulds are are they copies? I've seen the difference and copies are never the right size or meet up properly. Also are they ready to paint? -
haha at the start where they're driving slow through the car park, i dont know why but i was expecting the skyline to just punch it and fry the tyres. Good collection tho
-
Just incase anyone maybe pondering this item i have a cat back titanium exhuast on my skyline and its the best exhaust ive ever heard on a skyrice. Definatly a unique sound extremely light, i can hold my whole exhuast up in the air with one hand easy. i bought mine second hand off a race car and was told they retail for around 2k.

thats crap hey, "help someones threatening me and my muther", "ok sir if you'd like to make a formal complaint in writting please go to your nearest police station." Great help they were, especially since its not even like the police had far to go to help you out. From my past police help i can assure you nothing will happen from that complaint you made. In saying that if you took matters into your own hands you would of been punished more than he would.

yeah only problem with that is the more power you make the less response you get, which is great in a straight line but if you try and take a corner at high speeds you dont have the torque to pull yourself out. I'm not talking about drifting either the more grip you have the more torque you need. I guess its all about what you want tho really.

I don't think you should swap it. It doesnt make it look any less tough & it still looks awesome. I'd swap you for mine if you lived in brissie. I dont really want to have my car off the road it's planned it be going again after blowing up the old engine in january STR8E180 Just had a look at your cars. I dont really like s13's but i love 180's and yours would have to be one of if not the best example ive seen. Everything has been done right and with a purpose looks unreal and makes great power. As for your r32 gtr it's the car i wish i bought instead so need not to say more lol

i agree that looks really good polished. I've always only been interested in building a car with a purpose and that was to drive it. Never been interested in putting my car on show or impressing others so as long as it does what its suppose to i'll be happy. Thanks for all your insight tho people
-
yeah mine is exactly the same as lthlrb. No chance of getting mine polished, Sliding performance have been nothing but a nightmare with my experiences but i know the moderators wouldn't appreciate be bad mouthing their biggest trader so i wont say anymore than that

Hey all Just a quick question. I've recently bought a brand new gt3540 and i noticed the compressor housing looks different to other garrett turbos ive seen before including other gt3540's. All the others had the a/r stamped on the compressor housing and had a rather smooth surface. My turbo compressor housing doesnt really have anything on it and the surface is a lil rougher. I had a look on the garrett website and the picture of my turbo on the website looks the same as mine so i'm not overally worried but i admit i still am a lil as i've never seen another with the change. Has anyone come across this before or know of any change in the casting process? cheers

East Coast Customs Dyno Day 26/27 Jan 08
r_speedfreak_r replied to EastCoastCustoms's topic in Events
Problem with dyno runs is, it's too easy to get a high dyno figure as long as you dont care how long it takes before you come on boost. Some people like turbo lag, personally i like to keep it to a minmum. In saying that i love the sound of cars on dyno's. Something about the engine screaming & trying to leap off the dyno interests me. -

I still can't belive people get excited and jump on their cars when it catchs on fire. If my car caught on fire i'd cry lol -
Looked like an awesome trip. I wish my car was ready in time, missing out on so much. Does anyone know how much power iir33 makes? Looks pretty impressive
-
it also depends on how well your engine is balanced. I've got a built motor thats balanced but im still not getting it to rev any higher. i want it to last
