  1. turbo model is no longer available according to the nissan japan website and you can buy an autech axi version of any model stagea now. They do things like bodykits suspension and new interriors
  2. brad they are good when you want to buy their stock but when you want them to comply your own car they treat you like a second class citizen
  3. brad please pm me the figures. congrats cant wait to meet up and check out the car
  4. Leshy when are you doing the conversion?
  5. yuck that widebody sucks ass bigtime that rear doorhandle looks crap and I bet the raw plastic on the inside of the door will look very b grade
  6. There is no problems with getting the car even if you dont comply it in Perth I just bought mine and am getting it complied by Shogun/RCN Compliance in Brisbane and they are charging me $3000 for compliance and I am able to arrange shipping for around 500 to 800 bucks which leaves me ahead by $700 to $1000 better off than complying in Perth and they are going to sort any non standard parts for me too so its just too easy. Only got the car 2 weeks ago and have already had the import approval granted and shipping booked. Use an agent like J-Spec and everything is very easy just sit back wait impatiently and then enjoy your car.
  7. speed magazine put an rb26 in an r33 auto sedan they killed the transmission pretty quick they were sending it off for a rebuild and a higher stall converter think they used the ecu from the donor car to run the engine and auto was set up stand alone so nothing is impossible
  8. stagezilla is brad aka cruiseliner aka rb26vl he is one and the same he has more usernames than undies and he has plenty of people to talk to they are the ones wearing neck braces after watching his car go past and chasing him down to ask him what a volvo is doing going that fast
  9. 2.5 models will be able to be landed for the same price as v35 sedans low 20's it will be more expensive for the 3.5 6 speed manuals as alex says probably between 30 to 40k it would make a great family cruiser me thinks my grandparents are looking at one
  10. whats the go with pillar mount gauges are they illegal? I dont have a free din space on mine and dont want to put it on the steering column once I go manual I might move it into the handbrake release position but for now I need to find a location of where to put it
  11. reflection from the bars is playing tricks on my eyes
  12. does it block the sunroof?
  13. Nick, As you probably remember madwagon wrote his stagea off most likely he got something else with the insurance money and is on another forum talking about his new ride. I thought Jay sold his car as well. Brad yeah Nigel is very helpful I have also spoken to him since he sold his stagea I think he has a Chaser and a Delica now he is active on the delica discussion forums www.delicaclub.com I think he works for a RAW down near mandurah and he knows the blokes at autowholesale
  14. There is at least 4 Stageas I know of at the moment south of the river but again I rarely see them. There is a white series 2 that I always see on either Armadale Rd/ Beeliar Dirve or Yangebup Drive, Light Green Series 1 I have seen at Garden City Twice and also same car on Karel Ave, Dark Green one in Munster and Dark Blue see on the freeway heading north in the mornings but I am guessing none of these owners are on the forums
  15. I am not too sure yet compliance place is applying for import approval at the moment so I will keep you informed. Yanchep sounds good for a cruise though. Go for a drive have a BBQ compare cars take some pics etc etc
  16. yeah I am in atwell dont cruise too soon I wanna come with my stag or we can have 2 cruises
  17. my bad thought sump was different oh well doesnt matter as long as yudy gets his car back
  18. as long as you can find the inputs ie 2 rca inputs then you will be fine. any a/v store will sell adaptors dick smith tandy harvey norman etc what you are looking for as i said before is 2rca (ie left and right) to 3.5mm adaptor. If it is not rca then it will most likely be a 3.5mm jack then all you need is 3.5mm to 3.5mm or worst case 2.5mm to 3.5mm otherwise I am all outa ideas good luck
  19. dont know if this is the number from my stagea its the chassis no on the import approval docs 6u900wgnc34027945
  20. no pictures am I missing something? I think there is a control unti under the passenger seat might be some inputs on it. They may be RCA though so a 2rca to 3.5mm adaptor may be required otherwise it may be in the boot I cant remember there was a thread about this a while ago I think not about ipods mind but about the inputs
  21. My complaince workshop faxed me a service agreement with some dotars paperwork and asked me to signe them and send them back they basically tell me that if the car is found to be not suitable for complaince that they are required to send the car back to japan or destroy it at my cost and what those costs are. Also tells me what the go is with regards to needing to provide evidence that the car has been deregistered and degassed and that I have to pay to have it regassed and any additional costs involved with returning the car to stock are mine
  22. Flysly I agree with you about price most companies that do both compliance and sell cars are more expensive as they would rather keep the plates for their own stock more money to be made there as the profit margins for compliance are lower than a car quite obviously. Wildcat found this out the hard way with the guys in Perth who complied her car they took way longer than they should have and were very pricey time delays most likely related to the fact that they have lots of new stock arriving for their yards all the time and these cars are more important to them. I am sure kamikaze is the same and put their own cars first. You never can tell if someone is Bullshitting you but personally if I have a bad experience with a company I wouldnt be bagging them until I had my car back as you never know how spiteful some people can be and I am pretty sure there is no warranty on complaince work someone correct me if I am wrong. After you have your car back definately tell everyone about your bad experience and dont go back there but not until then.
  23. Yudy, would be careful making statements about them ripping you off on a public forum I am sure that someone from there would most likely post on here and word could get back to them and if they still have your car its a bit risky. Also I am sure the fuel tank in the Stagea is different to the GTR so the filter is different and the sump on the stagea is different which brad has mentioned Before during his GTR engine conversion so the oil filter probably is different and if they require genuine parts this may be added cost. I dont agree with them not giving you a discount for providing your own fluids though but if you said that they were doing this one below cost then maybe thats why they wont move on price. Bear in mind that if it is indeed the first car that they have done they may need to consult the engineers more than they will need to for future cars so this consult is not free engineers charge like wounded bulls so this could be where the added costs come from. When you signed an agreement with them did you have to fill in a form to agree to them complying your car? I did and it says clearly on the form the price and that there is no discount and that if there is any additiional parts required other than the parts used normally to comply a stock car then I pay for them. I agreed to that and if there is an added cost I need to wear it My 2c
