Im 23 wuth a 4 year old daughter. Whilst we only have one for now she is wheelchair bound so we need lots of room to put it in the back as they dont fold down too small and have lots of bits that fit onto them. which means there is no such thing as a quick trip down the shops with her. when we got the territory we kept our EF fairmont for a while but it was starting cost to much to run. we tried a smaller car for a while ( it lasted for 5 months and is now on the market) but even thoiugh the chair fits in there at a squeeze broken down into about 5 pieces it is difficult getting her into the back seat so after 5 months with a small second car it time for something else.I have had the import bug for a while now and after 3 years of wanting one and a few false starts I am finally about to look for my very own stagea.

bank loan, how hard is it to get approved ?
mcnamg replied to skylinedrifter's topic in General Automotive Discussion
banks dont just look at income and credit ratings when assesing loans either they look at how long you have been in your current address if its over 3 years you get top marks if its less than 3 you get a lower mark and less that 12 months you get the lowest score. same with jobs the longer you are in your job the higher the score. the other thing they look at with unsecured lending is assets (so they can send a sherrif round to take them if you dont pay) they will ask you how much superannuation you have, do you have any shares and if so how much are they worth value of any current motor vehicles, and how much your personal effects are worth (proplr always underestimate this area if you have insurance quote the insured value of your items not what you think you could replace them for and be generous say a dvd is worth $30 to replace so is a cd, clothes say at least $50 per item and look at the new replacement value of any other items such as furniture and if you are a tradesperson include the full replacement value of your tools in your assets. With loans and credit cards when working out how much you can borrow then bank only looks at the minimum monthly payment of the loan/card when working out how much money you have left over it doesnt matter how much you owe on the credit card at this point but they do compare your current assets to your current debts to work out if your assets are worth less or more than your current liabilities. so mnay people get declined as of this as they have borrowed way to much on credit cards and take out another to pay it off and then come to the banks in desperation to try and pay them all out and close them and they cant afford to. in my experience plenty of young people get loans all they look for is a steady income doesnt matter if you are casual and that you are steady in your job and at home and have some assets and savings. -
bank loan, how hard is it to get approved ?
mcnamg replied to skylinedrifter's topic in General Automotive Discussion
mate I actually work for one of the 4 big banks in Personal Lending and ill explain how it works for you. firstly if you are a casual you may apply for a loan if you have worked in the same job for between 6 to 12 months (depends on bank as to how long) and your income will be averaged based on the payslips or letter of employment they request. one other thing which is hard with imports is most banks wont allow you to use them as security therefore the interest rate is higher and the banks class unsecured lending as a higher risk and will be less willing to lend to marginal borrowers income is a major misconception with many people as what you think you need to survive and pay the bills is way different. for example a single person with no dependants must have a ceryain amount left over after all their other financial commitments to be able to afford the repayments. you may ask how this is worked out so ill give you an example. say john smith takes home 1200 per month after tax (banks work everything out monthly as thats how often interest is calculated) he is single with no kids lives at home with mum and dad and pays $200 in board and has no other commitments. you might say well hes got heaps of cash left over he can easily afford the loan well youd be wrong. the bank says that all people depending on their situation require a set amount of money to survive. they work this out using a poverty index worked out by some maths guru from monash uni. If you want do your research its called the henderson poverty index or HPI. For a single person with no dependants its $919 per month so add that to john smihs rent and suddenly he only has $81 left over per month for loan repayments which means according to the bank he will not even be able to afford a $4000 loan over 5 years find a lender who does 7 years and you may be ok. also for people who dont know how a credit report works heres a brief rundown.EVERY time you apply for credit (this includes credit cards, store cards, interest free, home loans personal loans and so forth) and consent to a credit check it is noted on your credit file. this record does not record whether these loans were approved or were declined they only record what it was who it was that was checking and how much it was for. this means that if you go from bank to bank applying for loans and being knocked back each of those banks can see that you only applied for the same loan in 5 other banks today and you can guess what this means for your chances. So if you dont think youll be approved dont go applying at 10 different banks or it will bite you in the ass. also on the topic of credit history if you bank with a particular bankand have a savings history this greatly increases your chances of being approved. if you go to a bank where you have no history they have no way of seeing how well you manage your bank accounts and have to rely on just the details you provide in the application as they cannot check the history of your accounts with other banks due to privacy laws. most banks will lok for at least a 3 months savings history as this shows you have ability to put money away which you can use to pay the loan. some banks now will not allow guarantors on loans due to the increased risk and if you try to make a joint application with someone like a parent they will assess each of you individually to make sure that based on each persons single income they can both afford to pay the loan. this is because if one of you stops paying the other person is still liable for the full debt and need to be able to afford it. whew thats all i can think of off the top of my head if you have any other questions just ask happy to answer if i know -

Didnt happen to look on the Autech website did you?? http://www.autech.co.jp/HISTORY-SV/WC34S00/index.htm http://www.autech.co.jp/HISTORY-SV/WC34S01/index.htm 2 Models released dont know if there was anything more than cosmetic differences but according to the web site series one produced 1997 series 2 produced 1998 Also Autech do an axis version of the new models website link here http://www.autech.jp/SV/STAGEAAXIS/index.html From what I can see there is not a specific model but you can order both 2wd and 4wd models in different engine sizes in either AXIS or AXIS S spec with autech tuned exhaust, suspension, body kit, under spoiler, different headlights and wheels and speccy interior bits like tan leather trim power heated seats and other little trim bits. So basically no go fast bits just look good bits.

Modified Stagea Artical, Not A Bad Read
mcnamg replied to darrinspencer's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
hmmm not too sure -
I agree with that when I tow my dads trailer with my Territory its all over the shop as the weight distribution is all wrong as the tow hitch is higher than what is best suited for the trailer. However as I have a reese hitch and have another towball from another car that curves downwards I have been able to fix this problem quite easily. I went and spoke to ford and asked why the hitch is so high and straight and they said it was to prevent the tow hitch from interfering with the reverse sensors of the vehicle.

this has been discussed before do a search before starting a new thread was only discussed last week. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=107425 or for more info http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...c=92908&hl=GTS4 scroll to about post 8 or so if you cant be assed reading down the answer is there is no straight fit pfc made for a stagea you need to have some wiring done first then look at a pfc but read the threads to find out what I am referring to good luck

Spotted a dark blue series one Stagea today about 9 in the morning heading south down the Kwinana Freeway he passed me just after Farrington St exit. Was pretty new judging by the number plate was stock externally and looked like it had maybe S2 rims or r34 gtt rims on it (Hard to tell as it was moving) Had a kiddie seat in the back male driver and female passenger and it looked like it could do with a wash not that I can talk it looks like ive been bush in my car the moment as there is so much limestone dust on it from the damn roadworks around here.
