make sure its what they say it is. there is now some rwd models available in aus i believe so if they say its awd check for the button and look for a transfer case one of the guys in NZ got burnt he bought a car thinking it was awd wife picked it up while he was away and he got back drove it and discovered he was short a few awd bits. you can guess his reaction. just check all the usual things you would check on a car. check for all the bits like a cargo blind tool kit and a space saver spare tyre and check the treadwear on the spare test all the electrics. Listen to the engine to see if its running ok or if sounds a little rough which may suggest a non factory tune. check to see if there have been any aftermarket guages removed from the dash which may suggest its been tuned. Remember that the fuel here isnt up to the japanese specs so if it has been tuned in japan it may not run so well on our crappy fuels. Look to see if the passenger footwell kick panel has been removed and if so ask why and if the ecu is stock. Check the colour of the exhaust emissions you never know there may be smoke when there shouldnt be. Just be very thorough and dont let the sales people puch you into the deal until your satisfied thats what you want. good luck Glenn

series 2 models are starting to show in yards in aus now and are abit more exy than a series one model there are lots of pics of both series one and 2 models in my gallery. the stuff on my site is mainly series 2 because I was using official web documents from the nissan history page and they dont have a section for the series one stagea i think that this may be becasue they didnt have a web site at the time so they didnt list any series one stuff online but could be wrong. a lot of stuff for the series 2 is the same as series one as it was only a mild facelift so there wont be too much missing. however there is also stagea stuff at http://english.auto.vl.ru so try there good luck Glenn

pics! where are the pics! nah just kidding keep us informed and be sure to show us all the final product

Just had a look in the newsagents quickly on the way back to the office and the pictures they are going on about are just "concept" photos of the next gtr. The pic they have is a cross between the original gtr concept car and a v35. I dont know but it looks to me like its just more crap about what the next gtr "could be like". Hopefully someone can post up the article and dont forget the sidebar which is titled GTR rumours ( should probably also say that all the bad ones were printed in speed) Luckily there is no mention of a V8 anywhere Glenn

oh yeah i didnt notice that bit but yes tigerloe is right with the attessa system you need to have the same rolling diameter on the road or the system chucks a hissy fit.
-
they both make the sucking noise but because the pod is not enclosed it is much more noticeable ie there is not any sound shielding around the pod to cover the inductuion noise
-
the good thing about the panel filter is that all you need to do is fabricate the air defelctor and fit a performance panel into the airbox with a pod you need to set up some ducting to direct air onto the pod itself as well as creating a partition of some sort to seal in the pod to ensure that the air that is entering the pod is still cool. From what I have seen there is not too many effective ways of sealing the pod in other than creating a partition yourself that seals the pod from the rest of the engine bay if you do a search in the main forums page you will probably find a few good threads discussing this in detail. I know I have read a couple of threads and there may be some more options avaialable to you Good Luck Glenn

best bet is to talk to one of the local workshops about what can be done and still pass roadworthiness or ring dept of transport they should have a rule book on hand good luck Glenn
-
try looking here buddy there is lots of info and if you have any more questions ask them in here so we keep all the info in one place http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=46615 Glenn
-
do a search buddy there is a thread in here with all the info you require. best bet before posting questions is to do a search and save yourself time and save everyone from posting the same stuff over and over Glenn
-
try contacting someone like nengun or a parts wholesaler they will be more likely able to source it for you as the guys in japan dont usually deal direct with overseas customers. Glenn
-
yeah sk just means that you need a deicated feed to the pod direct and the pod needs to be sealed off from the engine bay
-
if its just for pics then one is enough just swap it around easy
-
skyline imports are the guys that do the plastic crappy copy stagea to gtr front end kits but you still need to find your own gtr bumper bonnnet radiator supports and a few other goodies from a real gtr but hey to each his own. personally i would get it direct from masa they are cheaper
