  1. ring one of your local ford suppliers or contact one of the mod shops like nizpro or aps http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/ they would probably be able to advise you.
  2. are the gts models eligible for import? i thought they fell under the power to weight ratio allowed by dotars. therefore all the non turbo r33's you see driving round are rb25de's get a gts4 then when you get bored of the N/A you can drop an rb26 into it for some awd tt fun
  3. dont over do it the worst thing that you can do is to cause permanent damage to your leg. I hope that the car isnt too badly damaged. we all wish you the best for a speedy recovery hope you first and foremost are ok and that you and your car are back on the road asap.
  4. repair by destruction huh bwahahaha
  5. thats what i call a hair dryer
  6. sorry to hear it are you ok? is your car badly damaged? can you tell us what happened?
  7. youd think that they would have trouble getting all that power to the ground launching would be fun. a high 9 would probably be a goer witha skilled driver. Good to see that the inline 6 is not yet dead ford has picked up the torch and is running with it they are about 15 years behind but doing a good job. Ford needs to find a way to fit the running gear from a ford territory into a falcon sedan and drop that enigne into it
  8. heres one for the xr6 turbo fans http://carsguide.news.com.au/news/story_pa...5E21822,00.html 1000hp XR6 Turbo I know they put the engine in a car thats heavier than 2 pregnant whales but well hey a thousand ponies would still put a smile on the face no matter what you drop it in

  10. there is a guy on the forums called saft search for posts from him he or his father have done an rb26 conversion in a non turbo stagea dont know if it was 4wd or 2wd but he may be able to tell you more so check it out
  11. ITS NOT A BLOODY VOLVO!!!! why bother debadging nobody knows what a stagea is anyway and there is no turbo badges on it anywhere i can see keep it as it was intended dont make even more idiots think that they are volvos. thats just giving a good name to volvos

  15. yeah true you could look very stupid when a car that you know you can beat smokes you and you look at the boost controller and think to yourself aww crap :)
  16. whys your colleague called glen-chan? is it just an office joke or something? seriously though thanks for the information.
  17. id prefer an ebc with a track boost level and an everyday boost level then i could drag anyone i want with the touch of a button.

  19. ahh that would explain the grass and toadtstools growing under my seats arent typhoons and earthquakes commonplace in japan? you hear on the news at least a few times a year about earth tremors in japan. It must be something that you get used to.
  20. its probably an importer prank check your pm
  21. yeah i have a nasty burn on my leg from about 2 seconds exposure to high pressure coolant line that split when i was checking the oil in my wifes car. Hose split right at the connection to the thermostat (on a foulcan) and the jet of coolant that came out and hit me was definately liquid but it took about 2 seconds to turn into high pressure steam and spray all over the garage wall in the spot that i had just vacated. trust me that was definately hotter than 100 degrees the burn took about a month to heal and left me with a nasty red mark on my leg. but back to the question and yeah as people have said with the addition of coolant and with the system being under pressure the temps you are achieving are not unusual
  22. braking in neutral is not the safest thing to do because if you do get into an accident and take your foot off the brake then the vehicle will roll or keep moving. same goes for being rear ended. even if you dont intend to use the gear shift it into second that way even if you slip off the brakes in an accident then the car wont move as its in gear. a friend of mine whos a cop attended an accident where a young girl was rear ended trying to turn right across a busy two lane road and she had her car in neutral as she slowed down. the car behind her rear ended her quite hard as he didnt see her braking ( was on a mobile phone the idiot) she was pushed into the oncoming traffic and is suffered some serious injuries. The police told her later that if she had put the car into second that she would not have been pushed into the oncoming traffic and would probably only have suffered minor brusing.
  23. if you wanna save brake wear downshift if you wanna reduce gearbox wear brake otherwise its just the same everyone has their own driving style so just do whatever you normally do as long as it safe
  24. did you sand the dash before painting it? paint wont stick to a smooth surafce needs to be roughed up a bit there is a thread on this in the diy section i believe
  25. i know with the fuel light on my wifes ford fairmont that the manual says that the fuel light comes on when there is only 90kms remaining in the tank this is measured at an average speed of 60 kmh. This means about 10 to 11 litres left in the tank.
