wtf happened to this thread i go offiine for a day and there is horny blondes invading the forums. looks like cyrus had all the fun though

most of the stock at autowholesale sits there for ages before it sells i remember the had a red series one in their yard last year first time offered at 24 grand 3 months and it was advertised as reduced to 20k 6 months 18k 1 year 15k drive away. was totally stock 120000k the problem is people wont pay with the price they offer the cars at and they sit there for ages until they get a bit and then they carve the price up

i had an oil leak or so i thought i cleaned the car with degreaser and then ran it for a while to get it nice and hot to see if the oil leak came back and it didnt leak again it turned out that when the guys complied my car they spilt oil from the oil line from the turbo when taking out the exhaust to replace the cat. could be leaking oil from something not tightened up when you had the work done or spilt oil dripping down the engine when it gets hot. as suggested above best bet is to clean it up and then go for a drive get the eninge nice and warm where the oil is nice and thin and see where it comes from

i am pretty sure that one of the guys on here landed one for about 26 grand have also seem some on the stock list on j-specs website before but in all honesty its like buying a cheap gtr its probably cheaper for a reason and not a good one most times. series 2 manual would be a good buy now can be had for less than 20 grand easy and then you still have some $$$ for mods and so forth

dont see why a prospective buyer cant come along as brad will be coming in another car *cough* mitsubishi *cough* and we are all a friendly bunch. I dont know if lancelin is a good idea its a fair drive from rockingham yanchep would be ok though

yeah i think brad is still doing some work to get it to a point where it will be ready to sell as i think he was installing a new block/engine and dont know if he is using it as a daily driver while he works on his new project car

wow that is high i work for a bank and the unsecured rate is even lower than that and secured is lower again definately worth doing the ring around to find out what rates are available also look at what fees they charge as well and another thing people forget is find out if there is an early exit fee dont wanna get stung. qikstagea didnt notice the car was sold pending finance good luck with the purchase heath brad/ cruises car is a beast definately worth the wait

one of the guys over east is selling his stagea as well its pretty heavily modded will see if i can find the link also look in the for sale section on here there normally a few on the market at better than car yard prices. I imported my stagea direct from japan and could not be happier. Considering that Autowholesale wants 24k for s series 1 and i paid 14k on the road and now have more $$$ for mods couldnt be better even if you negotiate down your still way further ahead. I save 5k and am using the extra funds to start my mods

afaik in WA the only laws with regards to tint are to do with the front windows and the rears are not required to comply. if i am wrong please feel free to correct me can only comment from my own experiences when we moved over from the ACT my dad had to take his car over the pits and it was tinted too dark, so the guy at the pits told him to peel off the front windows tint and the rears are no problems. copper was probably just being looking for a reason to pick on you if it really had been defectable i am sure he would have had no problems with pulling you to the side then and there and slapping a yellow on your car

i thought with tiptronics pushing the shifter across to pseudo manual mode activates power mode if you dont shift manually i only this as thats how the tiptronic in my territory works to activate power mode you push the shifter to manual mode but still let the car shift automatically

i have looked at that car myself and noticed the paint seemed a little rough inside the doors on the right rear. I also think that that the cars they sell are way too expensive so make sure you really nut out a good deal. Because they are the only dealer in WA they charge more than what the cars are worth. I have been watching the prices on the cars that they have been bringing in for the last 2 years and the prices have actually gone up and not down. Howver looking at the dealers in QLD the prices have dropped. Sea freight via intercoastal to perth is about $750. So if you can find a bargain in QLD then it may be cheaper. Have a good read of the suspension thread if you are lowering the car heaps of good info and settings to get the best out of your new car. Good Luck

dont know of anyone on here with a white series one one of the guys i work with mentioned that he plays golf with a guy that drives a stock series one stagea. I will give him the website address for here and tell him to pass it on to his golf buddy. who knows could be his i will ask next time i see him where he works

there is a lot of good information on here about suspension and braking sydneykid one of the members is a guru and he has put together some great packages and there is a suspension group buy. I think sydneykid was also testing some new discs and pads for the stagea. being a heavy car braking is certainly an area for improvement even with stock power levels. as has been mentioned air intake and exhaust are also basic improvements you can make there are lots of good threads on all of these topics just search for what you are interested in and you will more than likely find lots of information. at the top of the page are a number of threads full of links on most topics about the stagea and if you cant find anything just ask. cheers

black is not a standard colour for a series one it will definately have been resprayed from another colour. make sure you check the car for any accident damage and to make sure there is no rust and to ensure that they paint finish is good quality also what state are you in? does the car have any mods at all like exhaust or suspension? you mentioned a budget how much are you looking to spend? that really determines what mods are best. also determining whether you are just looking at power or if you want to improve the handling of the car. let us know what you want to do and I am sure we can provide a few suggestions cheers Glenn

sorry to drag up a really old thread but I have a couple of questions. Tangles do you have any pics of your sub box ? has anyone had any issues with their subs under the drivers seat?

is the wagon one the same as the sedan console? and also what model cefiro are you referring to?
