    Go compare your VL's with Ford Falcon EA's and VS commodores. Not Nissan Skylines. Different league.

    Would find it hard to get used to the dated looks, shocking handling and poor build quality Holden is so good at though.

    First thing I would do is get rid of that horrid colour. Sounds like you have yourself a bit of a beast there. Wouldn't mind selling my R33 and buying a worked VL Turbo...and put the change in the bank.

    We have about 7 fairly new magnas/veradas here at work. Some of them have that quick shift auto trans with traction control. The 3.5 litre has plenty of torque of the mark surprisingly. To tell you the truth I'm not really surprised he beat you.

    Aftermarket BOV's on a standard R33 are more trouble then they're worth. My advice would be to forget about it and get yourself a pod filter. That way you get the sound of the stock BOV and a nice induction noise.

    Only $700?? That's a lot of money to spend on a boost controller. You can pick up second hand Blitz units for $395 from www.hikariperformance.com

    You can change your CTP insurer to make the cost of rego renewal a little cheaper. Maybe $10 or so at the most.
