No howling sound. But I didn't like the idea of getting near 0 oil pressure.

When I put 5w-50 fully synthetic oil in my car I had the same problem. I then put some 10w-50 in and the problem went away. My conclusion was that the oil was way to thin for the engine. This may have something to do with the problem your friend is experiencing.

If you are willing to lower the price let me know and Ill take it off your hands.

This is a very debatable subject. I personaly did experience an earlier spool up but there are some experts on here that will prove otherwise.

The sticker under my bonnet of the R33 says that anything greater then 96 Ron is OK. If only BP or Shell would supply thier higher octane fuels to regional areas.

Its just premium fuel. Optimax and ultimate are a higher octane rating.

Blow off valves are blow off valves. Purchasing an aftermarket brand name BOV doesn't always mean its a quality product. Leave your stock one on unless its leaking. There is no performance gain in adding an aftermarket one. Save up for a worth while modification that you will benefit from. Sorry didn't answer your question very well. Yes the Bosch BOV's are decent. I had a friend with one installed on his VL Turbo and it was loud. Did everything a BOV was supposed to do.

You are right. This happend to me 4 hours after buying my R33. Its amazing how much it affects the performance of the car when they are shagged.
