  2. when you open the bonnet, your standing in front of the car, look to the right you wil see at the back of the engine bay on the passenger side a box with metal lines coming out, that is the abs module, if you dont have that then you dont have abs.
  3. hi, im thinking of selling my r33 and moving onto a more practical car. details: r33 gtst series 1 1993 manual Exterior: white mspec front bar cut open for front mount, skirts, rear pods series 1 rear wing. Interior: jvc headunit dvd player 7inch screen nismo 300km/h speedo autometer boost guage Engine: rebuilt less than 5000km's ago stock turbo atm, i was thinking of upgrading very soon, but if i sell its up to the buyer to install what they prefer. front mount intercooler, with custom aluminum piping K and N Pod filter aftermarket bov, very loud on boost, but cannot hear when just crusing. heavy duty clutch rebuilt gearbox 3inch turbo back exhaust remapped ecu wheels: 18x8.5 front starcorp impul in shadow chrome 18x9.5 rear deep dish shadow chrome starcorp impul wheels less and tyres less than 500km's old Brakes: standard nissan callipers painted red with lucas brake pads recently machined discs. this car has been imaculately looked after, always detailed, and i work for a car dealership so this has been washed and detailed everyday, polished at least once a month. it recently had a service done which was brake fluid, diff oil, radiator flush, oil change, new car battery. the car has been a dream to own,has never let me down, and is an absolute screamer on the road when it hits boost. currently running 12psi. the interior has been described as imaculate, and the paint work is absolutely clean and sparkling. the car has also got 12 months rego on it. located in sydney i am lookin for $20 000 ono this is probably the best going around at the moment and there is not a cent to spend on it, i have done everything to it and it owes me ALOT more. it has alot of potential in it and i will be sad to see it go. drop me a pm if your interested and i can arrange an inspection. i will arrange pics asap thanx david

  5. hey iv done it to mine <<<<< but there is a catch, you need an engineers certificate so if a cop pulls you over, and its been engineered they wont defect you for it, i say just leave it as it is so there is less hassels, if i found that out i wouldn't of cut mine.
  6. yes, when the speedo stops the power steering stops. try and fix it otherwize go to sss automotive you can pick up a new cluster cheap. but 1st, at the bak of the cluster you will see screws directly behind the speedo make sure these screws have not come lose, you can see through the backing and it has a gold wire, if one of those are not conected the speedo wont work.
  7. if its a dealer they should have a trade plate, but NEVER buy a car without driving it. you also have to question why has it had a full rebuild?? is there any signs of accident damage, does the km's match the condition of the car you can usually tell this buy the condition of the handbrake boot and gear shifter boot. if the car looks good, or is troube less the owner should put rego on it and never buy a car without rego, who knows you could end up being stuck with an unregisterable car. But if that was me looking for a car, i wouldnt buy that one unless he can provide receipts with the engine rebuild detailing what was done to it, also the owner puts rego on it so you are able to test drive it, and then if it all seems good, take it to a workshop, or even NRMA inspections are good they seem to pick out everything i recomend them and i work at a car dealership.

  9. lol there is someone in sydney who has the nos shots, i got the setup for mine for $100. just be careful when you get it, dont free rev the bike, casue it will blow the motor. but its crazy, lean forward when u press the button, casue the bike tries to go up on its front wheel.

  12. hey do you have the surround that goes around the stero, and it goes all the way around the instrument cluster that one peice of plastc? is that what you were referring about the instrumnet plastic surround? also i dont suppose you have handbrake boot, gear stick boot, and a non air bag series 1 steering wheel lying around do you? let me know
  13. if the car still drives and it doesnt slip at high rpm it should be alrite still, just dont thrash it till you can afford to get a new clutch. when mine went its was a really hot day and i couldnt drive my car above 2000rpm it would just rev and slip.

  15. id swap the lenso's for a power fc for a r33 gtst s1, and may consider swaps for the other parts i have

  19. your power steering is connected to your speedo, its easy to pull out yourself, but its not worth taking to an autoelectrician. the person you need is an instrument repairer. look in the phone book and you will find them.
  20. everything lines up, gear box works fine but will not handle big power, but will last if u do not snap gears all the time, the clutch will need upgrading as it will start to slip. the diff works fine, but you will find that the na diff is only good for top end power, so if u replace it witha turbo diff there is a differnce in the acceleration. the brakes are also good, as long as you do not plan to do track work, as they will start to fade. wiring you can get your NA computer remapped so that saves you having to get a wiring harness and turbo computer. the best way to do it is get a half cut and just put everything from that into your car, it is alot cheaper. then all the na parts put that in you half cut shell and it will sell for maybe 2k. a gtst half cut starts from $5k, and the rb25det motor on its own goes for $3.5k from wreckers. it depends on how much you are looking to spend and it is definately worth doin if you keep your car. people talk about its not worth doing, but if you know your car is in good condition you mite as well just do it on you current na car. if its all done properly, no body will be able to tell the difference.

    Odometer

    cogs, take the dash out, just a few screws, then there are 3 plugs behind the dash which you can unplug and then take the plastic cover off the dash and get like a little needle or something and give the last digit which is km a push along like so that it shows the number, and then plug the 3 things back into the back and take the car for a drive just to see if the odometer starts working again which it should. if not ss automotive sells the cluster, they are alot cheaper then just jap from memory.

  23. i still have never been spotted after 2 yrs in the 33!! also spotted burko at my place, that car sounds crazyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!
