  1. No, the problem is not related to the shift kit as this was done b4 the tune and everything was fine. Its just not going into 4th gear unless I'm at 100kph and back off the throttle. I'm just curious to know what was done on the Emanage to have this effect on the shifts. The Emanage only intercepts Air/Fuel and Ignition timing. Would changing the ignition timing affect shift points?
  2. I went this arvie. 1st Autosalon that I've been. IMO it was not too crash hot, the expo was better and cheaper. I saw the last couple of Familia GTRs go through the dyno. The highest pulled was around 150kw with a screwed clutch. Viva Garage had their Drift R32, it pulled 205 kw, R33 Angry 1 pulled 170 kw or something and a Hummer which pulled under 100kw but plenty of torque. I left before the big guns came out, so hopefully it got better!
  3. I never had sputtering coming from my 3' exhaust when it was put on. Not even now.
  4. Its been almost 2 years since I had the Hankook K104s put on all 4 wheels and the rears have finally gone bald. All up, I'd say that they are the best bang for buck tyre that I've ever used. Wet 8/10 Dry 9/10 I originally purchased them for $200 each in ACT from Tyrepower. Don't know how much they go for now. I'm now looking for new K104s in Adelaide, suggestions anyone.
  5. OK, so after almost a year of having the GReddy Emanage lying around accumulating cobwebs and dust, I finally got it installed yesterday and tuned. The tuner that I had chosen had no experience with the Emanage b4 but was keen to give it a go. But really, the Emanage is not that hard to tune or install when you have the harness kit. Initially, with the following mods: - Apexi pod filter - Trust R-SPL FMIC - Blitz SBC idIII - MV Stage 1 shift kit - HKS split dump pipe - Blitz 3' front pipe - 3' Hi-flow Cat - Blitz 3' NUR spec exhaust - Bosch 040 fuel pump - BP Ultimate fuel - Bald Hankook Ventus K104 tyres The line pulled 148.3 rwkw with 10psi of boost. Now, after installing the eManage and a few hours later 198.4 rwkw was achieved with 12psi of boost. The turbo is still stock and so are the coils. The plugs haven't been changed in about 12 months but are NGK platinums with the standard gap of 1.1 (I think). That's the good part of the story! A couple of things that I noticed while the car was going through its last couple of runs was that towards the end of each run little puffs of black smoke started farting out of the exhaust. I was told that this was because the plugs needed to be changed and that I should shorten their gaps. Another problem occured when the car was idling and the kick panel was being placed back into position. As pressure was applied to the kick panel onto the ecu, the engine would turn off. I was told that it was something to do with the wiring in the harness. Finally, the last problem was realised a little while later when I had left the tuners. The car seems to want to change gears at higher revs which is really a kick in the back. I can induce a shift by fully, not partially, backing off the accelerater at a reasonable point. Now even with overdrive on fourth gear will only engage when travelling at 100 kph. Even at 60-80 kph and backing off the throttle, third will be the highest gear selected. Also, when the car is warm and the gear is put into neutral, revs will drop to 500rpm and start hunting up and down. It also happens when the car is started when warm. So as you can read there has been a few positives and negatives to come out of my experience with the GReddy Emanage. Fingers crossed that these problems are not permanent and that are fixable. If anyone, DAN666 in particular, can shed some light on these problems, could you please reply to this post. I'm going to check to see whether the tuner had missed something myself with a PC 2morrow.
  6. What will adjusting the cas do?
  7. I get boost cut with standard coils at 12psi. At 10 psi floored, I get popping!
  8. Jack, Your best bet is to ring around the tuners in your city until you find someone who has tuned an Emanage before or is willing to have a crack at it.
  9. It was a kit with the emanage and harness together. I didn't buy it separately but I'm sure you probably could. The kit I got is for R33 gtst (ecr33). To see if there is a harness for your car go back through this thread a couple of pages to find a link to a silvias forums site regarding this issue. On there you will find a list of cars which the harness is available for. Rob82: From what I've gathered, r33 ecus are unchippable! I don't doubt that Autobarn have shit all support. It doesn't bother me either as I will be relying on my tuner. Never said that the emanage was the shit. Just made a decision to give it a go as there is not much else which works well with autos.
  10. Sorry guys, First time back on the forums in 2 months. To cut a long story short, I've moved states at short notice and am now officially broke. Anyway, I haven't had a chance to plug the emanage in yet. Will do when I'm cashed up for a dyno tune. The full kit can be bought from AutoBarn. Get the salesperson to ring up the warehouse in Melbourne (or Adelaide?) to make sure that it is the kit which plugs straight in without needing anything to be rewired. My kit is for the R33. GReddy claim that you MAY notice a difference in power when plugged straight in as the base maps are apparently altered for each car, but I'm assuming that this is for a stock engine. To get the most out of the Emanage, it will need to be tuned. If you plan to do this yourself, then you will need the software ie. support tools. Or you could make friends with someone who has it and save yourself some money. If you intend to get it tuned by a workshop, find someone with experience tuning the Emanage and they should already have the software. The choice is yours!
  11. OK, just got me one of these new plug and play Emanage kits. Gonna fit this weekend and see if I can get it running on the base map.
  12. Have a read of the sticky on what is a greddy emanage at the top of these forums. Gives ideas of the capabilities of it. The emanage can be bought as a direct plug in kit so that you don't need to rewire it. Its probably best to find out what the tuners around there are more familiar with PFC or Emanage, Although I don't expect them to be drastically different!
  13. DBA 4000 slotted rotors are the s$%t. Mine came with L and R stickers on em.
  14. I've noticed that after I changed my spark plugs that when I start to accelerate from stand still that the revs drop down so low that it almost stalls. This has only happened when I went from a 11 gap to a 8 gap. Don't know why but gonna put the old ones back in to see if it fixes it!
  15. The contoller is 1/2 DIN size. So its 1/2 the size of a car stereo (single DIN) and is only about 1cm thick!
  16. Bendix Ultimates or Race Brakes RB74's for pads! DBA 4000 series slotted rotors for the front.
  17. Theres a recent thread about different AFM and their potential b4 maxing out. As for EBC, go the Blitz SBC-IDIII.
  18. Can anyone recommend somewhere to get a bosch 040 fuel pump installed?
  19. Hell Yeah!!! F#$% the haters. Its life man, you'll cop it whether you're driving a line or walking down the street. How you react to it will really determine who you are. ie. Will you give up ur dream cos you copped shit about it OR will you cop it on the chin, take sumthin away from it and grow young grasshopper! Don't let others make ur mind up for you.
  20. Jakes Performance in Mitchell can tune the Power FC and they have a Dyno Dynamics Dyno! A couple of ppl on this forum have had this done and recommend them. Going to see if they can tune an E-manage as well. As for EVO, I have dealt with them b4 and they had not stuffed my car, although this was just to install a turbo timer. But I will never take my car there again going from outrageous quotes for work and true stories from mates that have been f#$ked by them. Its entirely your choice to take your car where ever you want to, no one is trying to convince you otherwise. But its always handy for others to share experiences from places so that you can make your own mind up. I feel for you Amaru, that's some nasty shit that happened to you!
  21. I haven't actually used it, just info from these forums. Unlucky GM_GTR, hope it didn't affect ur car 2 much!
  22. After deciding to check the extent of the damage to my cat, I unbolted it from the front pipe and looked inside. The cat was stuffed alright, stuffed with a size 13 spanner. Stupid #$%^s at the exhaust shop must've dropped it in there when I took it in to get the dump pipe fitted. The cat is fixed now with no rattling at all! Won't be ever going back to that place again.
  23. 1. Splitfire coils $650 delivered from nengun.com 2. 02 sensor $200 genuine nissan. Prices are for brand new parts. There are other cheaper options for 02 sensor. Do a search!
  24. Ditch the muffler idea and go the full 3 inch turbo back exhaust or at least a cat-back exhaust. Alot of Cheap 2nd hand jap ones around.
