I've never seen a painted set for sale or anyone with an owned painted set? I'd love a set of black LMGT4's, but i can only find silver/white sets for sale. So the question is if i was to paint LMGT4's is that allowed? Or would i be the worst person ever

Because given the fact that half of the one for sale have like 50,000kms on them they can't be daily driven. But doe's anyone on here daily drive theres? I daily drive my GTT but ofcourse that doesn't compare to a GTR

R34 Gt-t Vs R34 Gtr - To Mod Or Not To Mod
SoulScene replied to SS8_Gohan's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I know the feels. I haven't spent much on mine at all yet! But thinking about what i want to do, and how much it will all cost. I've found myself thinking about leaving it all and saving for the GT-R! But the "MOD BUG" is present in my body and i can't seem to shake it. There is just something about modding a car that makes me feel amazing. So i've sort of decided to stick with your basic/common mods for some extra rwkw's, But at the end of the day it will never be the KING the GT-R. It's honestly a hard choice, at the end of the day it is your CAR and its not what others think it's what you think. In an ideal world in a few years i'd love to buy a GT-R and keep my GT-T aswell, but thats so far out of my reach at the moment. Things change quick nowadays, Just go with what you want to do, who knows in 10 years you may be able to afford a GT-R and keep your unique GT-T for that RWD fun -
The Nav Man charger could be a smaller design only by a tiny bit. So its not making contact. Head into Autobarn/Supercheap Auto and buy yourself one of the adapters and try them in there see if they make contact. Or you could just hardwire the charger in and bypass the socket completely

Nooooo, there are cheaper ones on there! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NISSAN-NAVARA-D22-SKYLINE-200SX-S15-X-TRAIL-PATHFINDER-PATROL-PULSAR-BLANK-KEY-/110974830672?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19d69d8850&_uhb=1#ht_1370wt_1163 I bought two of these, $14 to get them cut at Jacksons security and they haven't failed me yet! Chip is only if you have the stock alarm/immobilizer still. If you don't then you don't need to chip in the key as far as I'm aware.

+1 My mind set use to be the lower the better. But then i got my skyline, and honestly slamming it takes the fun out of the car. Its pleanty low! But if you want to buy new one, I'll take those Tein ones off your hands

I'd say its the trans oil, but if its reading at good levels well.... Does the oil smell different to normal oils?
-
As far as i'm aware they're not, again just going off what the previous owner had talked to Boost Automotive about. That will save me some money then ! I know it's going to cost alot but, aslong as i'm happy with it and i don't put myself in debt I don't mind to much about the price

Thanks for the imput! I see your point about selling the car and buying one in the color i want, But i don't feel the satisfaction in doing that, I know i personally won't be painting the car but its still something I've changed about my car. The bigger injectors was suggested by the pervious owner who got told to get bigger ones by Boost Automotive, but i'll bear that in mind! Fuel pump didn't even cross my mind, thanks for that! After looking into it more after making the post last night, i decided to stick with the stock kit. I'll buy a GTR one day (hopefully) When i get back, i was planning on going into Boost and talking with them before i buy anything ofcourse, NIStune say use Condifyne Motorsport or Tasmanian mobile Mechanics to tune the ECU. But i've been told Boost can do it and so can Prospeed up at prospect?

I knew it wouldn't be an easy task getting the midnight purple, When i'm back i'll go ask around and see what there is. I didn't want to stick to white simply because so many skylines are white! I believe i've seen one midnight purple R34 in Tasmania I'm sure there is probably more. But i just want it to stand out abit more, even to those who aren't car savvy I thought about Matte Black, but the upkeep on that is intense. Any suggestions on great painters around Tasmania? I don't having to travel to get a good job done. Its only little old Tasmania anyway, everything is a stones throw away MP2 and MP3 are they paint codes? Or the style of paint used, As i wasn't entirely sure of the paint code for midnight purple

Hey guys! Just thought i'd give you guys a run down on my plans! Just see what you guys think and weather or not there good bad ideas. So i purchased a R34 GTT a few months back, it's stock not a thing done to it. Had a banged up fender (Have a new one already, to lazy to put it on) and bonnet. I bought a Carbon-fiber bonnet from JustJap.com one the GTR style one, to fix the bonnet problems, unfortunately the bonnet u-bolt latch was to short even after extending the bolt holes and raising the locking mechanism (Justjap refunded me some money to get it fixed, As mine was worse than any in there stock) After applying bungee cords, and holding it down to go get the U-bolt welded longer the bonnet did the worst and blow backwards. Needless to say the bonnet now sits in a dump at the tip and my car needed a new windshield and roof as a few dents that need to be removed! Now i've always liked the idea of getting an EastBear kit and giving it the aggressive look of a GTR, and after the bonnet incident i'm leaning towards going with it. This being said, i'm going away on work for a few months, so i'll be saving some money and when i get back i'll get back into doing it up so here are my main plans. - Eastbear kit (Or should i keep it stock kit, and go with another Carbon-fiber bonnet) - FMIC + Boost controller (Plus putting the boost up abit!) - Resprayed Midnight Purple or Polar white (Stock color) - LMGT4's 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 (If i can find a pair, If not I've been looking ROTA GridR's) - Coilovers (Unsure of which brand) - BOV (GFB Dual port) - Boost controller - New turbo timer - NIStune ECU - Dumppipe (Thats all the exhaust is missing) - Splitfire coilpacks - Bigger injectors (Not sure of branding again) Now here is where i need your help, where in Launceston would be the best place to get work done? Been told Boost Automotive is good, and the previous owner had talks with them about the car. Painting a car? I have no idea where are good and which to avoid Plus just any suggestion or changes you'd make to the list, as I'm new to the skyline scene and the turbo scene to tell the truth! Cheers in advance for any advice/help!

Rb25De Swap To A Rb25Det?
SoulScene replied to SoulScene's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Thanks, But the reason I'm asking is i don't really want to pay for bits i possibly do not need for a swap. Like i gearbox isn't exactly cheap so if i can use the non turbo r34 gearbox with the turbo engine that would be great -
Hey, Wanting to swap out my RB25DE to a RB25DET, Question I'm having trouble finding the answer to is what i need exactly? I know i need the engine, but is that all? Or do i need the GTT gearbox and wiring loom/harnesses? Or are the non turbo ones compatible with the turbo engine? This is for an R34 Cheers

On the inside of the body kit, it will have the Nissan part number
-
Seen people on here saying its a fairly rare kit in Australia, for a genuine one. Most are the aftermarket replica's. But I'm just going off what i've been reading.

Mine is stock apart from a pod filter and coilovers i manage to get just on the 400+kms... I need to tune

D2 Coilovers Failed For Skyline
SoulScene replied to Ahu2in's topic in General Automotive Discussion
6 months? Wow i was thinking of replacing mine with D2 coilovers soon (Mine are slowly leaking) Might look into it more now. Most things i read where good! Have a friend with a Type R Integra who has ran K-Sport and BC Racing coilovers. K-sport were terrible, BC racing ones are good for the price. Work friend runs D2 street spec in his Commodore and they haven't missed a beat yet, we put them in early last year. I run Greddy coilovers at the moment, but they've been in the car since i bought it and the rears are starting to leak a tiny bit. Maybe you just got unlucky with your's, hope they get back to you soon and replace them for you, -
Hey, I've owned my R34 GTT for a couple of months and i love it! Although that being said its fuel economy is pretty shitfull, But that's due to it needing a tune from what i've been told. I plan to get a GTR when i can afford one, like 15 years knowing me haha. But the GTT is still an amazing skyline, and car in general. Plus for the price you can't go wrong, I paid less for my GTT than my mate paid for VTEC and i leave him in the dust Just check all the usual things you would when buying a car + do a PPSR check.

Stalling The Moment I'm In Gear?
SoulScene replied to SoulScene's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
To get it to go without stalling i need to be going about 30kms before i can let my foot off the clutch. Then the moment i take my foot off the accelerator to start slowing down i stall again. -
Hey guys, Stock standard R34, non turbo. Just picked it up, now after i worked out the alarm system. I turned it on all fine, put clutch in put it in gear go to take off and the moment i slightly take me foot off the clutch i stall. I've got it to move forward into the garage but it didn't like it much, had to hold the clutch in the entire time. Anyone had this problem/ ideas as to why it could be doing it? Cheers, Zac

Hello, I'm after a working DRIVERS SIDE seat belt for a 1999 R34 Skyline GTT. Mine doesn't retract at all anymore and am in need of a new working one. Cheers, Zac
