  1. buy a civic, save your money for a few years, put a deposit on a house, then buy an R34 GTR.
  2. lol... the info I posted here was to help out Cam (the director) to promote the screening of his short film. So if you have comments you're welcome to post them dude. They didn't show much of a "preview" for the upcoming movie (crash course). I think "RUSH" was more of an experiement in filming techniques for high speed camera filming. The video quality was sometimes pretty average, due to some very brief moments of oversaturation in bright scenes, and losing focus when following a car with the camera at high speed. It was obvious that it was filmed in hi-definition Digital video. It would take many practice runs to line up the chase car ideally to get the perfect shot and angle while keeping the car in focus the entire time - not as easy as it looks!. As a learning experience for the film crew I think they gained alot from making RUSH... hopefully they can bring it all together with the editing, ACTING, and filming to make a proper full length movie. As for the movie they released about a year ago ("the chase is on") - this was the first time I'd seen parts of it in the directors cut, and I personally thought the acting was pathetic. Hopefully they will get some real actors for the upcoming full feature movie.

  4. Alpine mp3 head units are very good. I have one myself and am very happy with the read time when loading mp3 tracks. Plus searching for tracks and navigating the folders is very easy to do. Alpine make some great SQ comp units too like the 9835. I can get you an Alpine 9835 for $700 brand new. Let me know if you're interested.
  5. my offer is still there
  6. how much for the cap? what brand?
  7. *yawn*
  8. It's all in the offset. If you select a suitable offset for your car, you should have plenty of clearance. 18x8 is not very wide... especially for the rear where there is usually heaps of room.

  10. In the interests of people not starting a shit fight in here, I think this thread has run it's course... I suggest this thread be closed
  11. ^^ exactly right as above, but also remember to block off your factory boost solenoid (where u removed the vacuum hose)
  12. Hey Dale, sorry to go slightly off topics, but I was having a chat a few weeks ago to young Rob who bought your wife's R34 He's loving it... already got a full kit on, intercooler, etc.
  13. Yes it does have an auto chime when the engine is not running and you open the door with either; a) the keys still in the ignition, or B) the parkers or headlights are on BUT, this is a common scenario: - you have been driving with your headlights on - you park the car, switch off the ignition, turbo timer is still running the engine - remove the keys and open the door - because the engine is still running, the auto chime does not sound to advise you the headlights are still on (because it thinks you're still driving the car) - arm the alarm and walk away (engine runs until turbo timer stops, headlights are still on, but door is closed by this time - so the auto chime isnt active, and meanwhile you are at a cafe enjoying a cappacino somewhere while your battery runs flat )

  15. Is your centre boost gauge reading incorrectly? Like reading over 1bar when the car is sitting idle? lol. I had the same problem with mine.
  16. Need some advice on maximum 18" wheel widths + offsets for R34 GT-T. Please PM me if you know alot about wheel offsets for a skyline... Yes I've used the wheel offset calculator but I want further advice
  17. Of course the Mspec Nur is the Super Ultimate, but its alot more rare than the humble vspec. I'm not fussy, I'd take either of them
  18. Settle down Geoff I know you're excited that you're finally buying a GTR... but IMO the R34 GTR v-spec is Ultimate, especially in looks and interior (I like modern ) Anyway congrats on your purchase, looks like you got a good buy!
  19. I haven't seen it myself.... but I've updated my first post, because I made an error. This Saturday is the premier screening of the short film "RUSH" (Ford GT ripping it up) They will also be screening a directors cut/preview of the new upcoming movie which is actually called "Crash Course" and will be Traction Control Films' first full length feature film. Hope that clarifies everything
