It's your call if you get it tuned straight away, the PowerFC has a basic default config. that works ok for basic/mild mods.. so you could just plug it in and it should run fine as-is, then when you get your power mods, you will need to have it tuned properly to get your car running at it's optimum.

Ferni, the biggest advantage of a PowerFC for your car in it's current form will be fine tuning, not necessarily for huge performance gains, but just having the ability to fine tune every aspect of your engine management - better than your stock ECU can. The added advantage of buying one now for such a low price is, if you plan on more power mods later down the track, your PowerFC will become very useful. IMO a wise investment, you can always swap back in your stock ECU if/when you sell the car.

Yeah the cruise was fun was good to get out and have a drive, nice weather too. It was also good to give my CB radio some use again. It looked awesome cruisin in the pack seeing all the skyline tail lights! Looking forward to more cruises this summer
