As I've said, in NSW the Surveillance Devices Act does not prohibit anyone from using an "optical surveillane device" fitted to their vehicle, because as the owner of the vehicle you have your own consent. You are free to record anything happening in public. You cannot sneakily fit a tracking device or camera to someone else vehicle without their consent unless you have a warrant or there are other special circumstances.. Dude, you can pickup stockish r34 gtt's with a few mods for as low as $14k now from legit sellers. The prices are plummeting hard. R34's are getting old now (10+ years) and people are desperately offloading them. There is no record of those plates currently being registered with vicroads either so it is very likely a dodgy sale.
