yes I realise the article says the 4 months is being served concurrently, but the judges comments about the sentencing were interesting: Chief Magistrate Ian Gray said the crime was "bizarre" but not significant enough to warrant a tougher sentence. "I accept that this was a spontaneous act," he said. "There are no aggravating circumstances of this crime which call for an additional period (of imprisonment) to be served," he said. This implies that the crime was not considered significant enough to be more harsh in sentencing, regardless of whether or not there was an existing sentence for other matters.
