Hi everyone Since changing my pump ive lost my fuel gauge and i feel the float has been put back in differently so what i need is a close-up pic of a 32 GTR fuel gauge assembly with the float attached cause my little indicator thingy doesnt sit in contact with the electrical connector all the time, thus not getting any signal (the one in tank that looks like a mini gauge) ive seen the pics in the 044 tutorial but theyre not zoomed enough please help

No. the steering wheel has HICAS sensors. i think left to right and speed. my light was on and the steering became heavy after 80secs because hicas wasnt getting a speed signal from my speedo because it was spinning freely inside the cluster. Once i fixed that by removing the cluster and repairing a cracked piece of plastic, HICAS was getting its speed signal and everything is back to normal.

  4. Hopefully he didnt run it without an air filter Id like a compression test to know that the motor was still healthy and for peace of mind
  5. are you sure it was sand? cause in that case it most probably would have gone in through the intake and perhaps scored the bores could it be metal? have you just had your engine rebuilt?
  6. nah theres 2 black ones and 1 white one black either side and white in the middle i doubt the blacks would reach around to the opposite sides

  8. thanks mate (sorry forgot your name from the old calaisturbo days ) i didnt think they could be damaged by static funnilly enough, the temp gauge worked as normal with the plug barely in which confused me a little

Hey guys my NISMO cluster in my GTR is playing up I had the usual problem associated with losing the speedo signal causing the power steering pump to not get a signal and evetually turn off after 80 secs. anyway, i fixed the speedo cable input into the cluster and now the speedo works again. Now, after i had plugged the wiring back into the rear of the cluster the temp guage goes to maximum and the oil pressure goes to maximum, which would suggest it has power? Is the circuitry on the back of the cluster sensitive to touch? Cause im thinking I may have touched the copper parts a few times in trying to wiggle off the electrical connections. Also, with a bit of load the tacho rises at a fair increased rate compared to actual engine speed, akin to a slipping broad minded personch, all though the clutch isnt slipping cause i still have good pull. Is it new cluster time? or what? Have i shorted something? Anyone had anything similar after having the cluster out? Cheers

  11. yeah he got me a pair of nissan 02 sensors and saved me $70 From memory genuine ones are $230 for the front and $215 for the rear (or something similar) retail not cheap by any means

  16. re swinging: you sure youre just not lighting up the rears with the lsd locking hard and both wheels losing traction, hence sliding around the palce ...im not sure how familiar you are with cars

  19. hes already got a built motor. Just needs the turbo
  20. sounds like a turbo since you said that cause the oil is vapourising in the hot exhaust after the car has been turned off and this gives off the white smoke
