  1. keep an eye on the forums here for stock blow off valves. they go fairly cheap i assume its for a 33? in that case, you should be able to find a turbosmart plumb back fairly easily and just run some hose from that to the nipple on the intake pipe (about a metre)
  2. matt, blitz is doing a group buy atm for $330 dollars new + plug
  3. ^agreed! less blinding for the eyes
  4. i know it wasnt directly relevant but what i was getting at was just because theyre getting better mileage doesnt mean your oxy sensors have had it also , i thought that when youre cruising, the 02 sensors, if running efficiently, are constantly sampling which would be shown on the commander as fluctuating voltage levels? as soon as some one knows the regular voltage values then youll have your answer.
  5. no fuse for me either !!
  6. you could have bought the leatherette seat covers from the group buy. theyd be a very close match to what youve done there. i reckon it doesnt look too bad
  7. i think i can answer my own question....the 02 sensor thread of a million pages will suggest that they can definitely increase fuel consumption haha carry on.....
  8. not sure if this helps or not but... my oxy sensors are stuffed but the car runs leaner on cruise. this enables me to get 500km to a tank. The problem of jerkiness when cruising goes away when i unplug the sensors and the fuel consumption suffers. This makes me pretty certain that theyre stuffed. the question is....if the o2 sensors are stuffed, can they increase and decrease the fuel consumption for different cars?
  9. haha i know steve is the older one im thinking of the 2 apprentices or whatever they are
  10. is he one of the kids that looks about 14? i think theres 2 of them there at the back
  11. does the link use closed loop? id say your 02 sensor would be fine since it only happened after you put the link in cruise mixtures might need to be fattened up a bit because it seems like youre running a little lean on light throttle. Im not sure if the standard link rb25 map would be as suitable as the Power FC standard map, which may be why you noticed no problem with the Power FC. Take the car back to the tuner and get some road tuning done with varying loads. He may have only done a WOT tune on the dyno.
  12. its not meant to...it explains why the idle drops when you turn the wheel
  13. dont they just 'switch off' so to speak , once an unsuitable load is detected to run a leaner mixture safely ? anyway, i unplugged my 0xy sensors and it fixed my hesitation. rob: i didnt think it was too far off the mark re: cold mixture. granted the exhaust gases wouldnt be overly richer, but fuel maps enrichen with cold water temps..dont they?
  14. the power steering pump gets its power from the crank.. turning the steering wheel activates the pump obviously, which will drain some power from each revolution, thus creating a lower idle momentarily
  15. he keeps the essentials in stock such as fuel and oil filters which is handy
  16. would i be able to see a pic of the muffler?
  17. and yes, the way the computer recognises the voltage values for the z32 AFM would have to be changed. i think they can run off an SAFC for a cheap option
  18. depends...on fine injector openings there may only be a little bit of gunk, but just enough to obscure flow. when the injector opens a little more and for longer, then the squirt of fuel may have a clearer path through to the cylinder. i reckon its good insurance to know that youre injectors are clean and serviced anyway rather than having to rebuild a motor cause one may eventually leak and BANG! due to starvation on boost.
  19. injector cleaning time?
  20. the o2 sensors only lean out the mixture when cruising ie constant thottle load theyre leaning out a mixture that is already quite stoich to one that is on the lean-side that would otherwise cause detonation on higher loads. so to answer your question...it will use a little more fuel if youre doing freeway driving but not a hell of a lot more. your plugs and everything will be fine.
  21. i had to drive around with the sunroof slider opened in my old 33 so that my head didnt hit the roof. after i while i noticed i drove leaning slightly to the left to fit my head in. after that i swore id never get another car with a sunroof and im only 187cm
