  4. steve, is there an AAC valve on the GTR plenum? or even idle adjustment screw? i guess the AAC would be underneath if there is cause i cant seem to find it. mine idles at 1500 on stock ecu

  6. Hi guys just bought myself a GTR which has been resprayed but the paint is covered in water marks from the car sitting in a garage for a while. Ive used meguirs paint cleaner and then polymer sealant polish over the top and the marks are still the same. Even a decent buffing with lots of elbow grease does nothing on the windows ive used the armor all glass cleaner and still nothing i thought i might try a cutting polish on the windows to see if that works to get a similar result to cleaning r33 headlights what have you guys done with watermarks? what works and what doesnt? do you think regular washing will eventually wear down the marks? thanks, its driving me nuts having new paint looking all spotty! and yes, the search button on SAU isnt the most helpful thing around
  7. have you looked at the fault codes yet? what did ya get?
  8. have a look at the fault codes on the ecu...theyll tell you if its AFM, injectors etc sorry, i dont have the number codes for the faults
  9. could even be an AFM problem that triggers intermittently when the plug is jiggled by bumps in the road, or even the unit itself has decided its had enough. This will make the mixture very rich when the AFM isnt reading correctly and black smoke will blow from all the fuel being burnt. This increase in fuel corresponds with you saying that the car lacks power when it happens. Also, the exhaust light comes on which means the cat is getting very hot and is prone to melting due to the unburnt fuel being burnt in the exhaust.
  10. i think jazza thinks youve got a GTS-T...ignore what he said and yes, the GTR does have a FMIC and it will be fine for the power you are chasing.
  11. i used a combination of metho and kero and it cleans the oily film off the afm as soon as it comes into contact with it. being a spirit, it also evaporates and doesnt leave a residue plus, you can buy it cheap at hardware stores was getting over 600km to a tank in my former GTS-T
  12. i cant either and i get a message saying that information is missing and that the file may have been deleted
  13. a little while ago i cleaned my AFM and fuel consumption is now great! i can get 600+ km to a tank running 10 psi. 10L/100 kms is quite a good stretch of the fuel before i cleaned the AFM i was struggling to get 500km / tank

  16. dont cut the pipes to the 2nd canister cause you dont want fuel vapours going near the hot hot turbo......BANG!! if you want to get rid of it, do it properly and take everything out

  18. Hello everyone.. The time has come for me to move on. Im selling my 1994 R33 GTS-T. Ive finished uni and am upgrading. This R33 was imported ~1998 by the owner before me and he spent quite a bit on keeping the car beautiful and reliable. All receipts are with myself. The car contains: FMIC and S/S piping done by Per4manz Exedy 5 puck button clutch installed by X-Speed S/S Cypher catch can 3 inch mild steel exhaust incl dump and front pipe with 2 s/s cannons Turbosmart boost controller (ball bearing and spring type) Turbosmart plumb back BOV Pioneer stereo Laserline alarm integrated into immobiliser Factory sunroof (2 way) HKS Turbo timer NGK iridium plugs Smoke face boost gauge on A-pillar New tint Unmarked interior Clear Headlights (sedan type) Chromed grill Sparkling new paint Original Skyline mats front and rear The car still drives like new. Ive serviced regularly using Motul oil and have recently replaced the fuel filter, battery, oil and filter. Come round and have a look and see just how amazingly detailed this car is smile.gif If anyone wants to know any questions just PM me of leave a post. Dynoed at 260 rwhp on D/Dynamics dyno few years back on 10psi. The car has 140000kms. I believe these to be accurate as the car was imported early on and had no need to be wound back like todays arrivals. Also, the condition of the car backs this up. Price: $16900 Thanks, Trav
  19. but isnt the yellow circled object the charcoal canister?? its for emissions 'theevilworld'..i think it neutralises fuel vapours and carbon monoxide? that leak out during the combustive process. the epa and pits wouldnt be too happy if you removed the pollution gear out of the car someone explain further
