  3. wow!, well there you go. Now its time for a compression test, hopefully youll be one of the lucky ones who werent effected by inhalation of ceramic particles
  4. lucky guy who got $450 for a set of turbos Mine are going for $240 a set and cant get rid of them!
  5. theres plenty of pressurised hoses around the plenum but it needs to be a sizable leak to make no boost, but not big enough for the car to stall have you looked there?
  6. The wastegates get their pressure signal from the nipple on the turbo outlet, so having a leaking cooler pipe further down the line isnt going to pose a problem
  7. theyre made to thrash!
  8. well, it got to the point where i couldnt drive up my driveway which is only a slight incline The revs will drop because its overfuelling severely. To nurse it home i had to hold my foot on the accelerator. So to answer your question, yes
  9. itll be quite a bit more than 1K to do both. Plus the r&r if youre not doing it yourself (another 1K)
  10. i thought he lost his license?
  11. its a leak. The pipe may look like its on tight but there might not be a super tight seal. I suggest you re-do all the piping to make sure. It may take a while again for the little amounts of oil in the intake to seal the joins like before. I had the exact same problem 2 weeks ago. Wouldnt make positive manifold pressure what so ever. I inspected the turbos and they were good. I re-did that damn bit of pipe straight after the merging of the two turbos with new hose clamps and the thing drove crappily. The next morning it was all good again
  12. good boy
  13. theyre quite similar to GT-SS but are plain bearing (from memory)
  14. i just took my 17 year old ones outta stock dumps. I left them soaking over night in wd-40. In the morning i used an open-ended spanner and put a 1 foot extension piece on the end of the spanner. The old man stood on the dumps and i yanked as hard as i could They came off quite easily after that
  15. Can you please put me down for a set for 32 GTR Sumitomo equipped please? Thanks
  16. for your power goal buy a rb25 front cut and put that in there. Use a GT30, or for the cheap, a highflow Rb25 turbo and with ancillaries, youll get there. That would be the cheapest way of getting to your power level which isnt high enough to warrant a forged motor. Rb30 is overkill for that power level
  17. Regardless of the temps, itd be a good idea to give the cooling system a flush and thorough clean if its been a while since the last one. Especially when summer isnt too far away. 90 degrees in winter does seem a little high. Mine is closer to 82 degrees in colder weather. In perth summer i can get up to 92 degrees and thats with the air con on full!
  18. Go for an aftermarket fuel pump. The nismo pump goes straight in...no mucking about 1. yes, both gears 2. No. If you leave the cam gears both on 0 degrees they act as normal cam gears. 3. No.
  19. nengun for a little over $600
