that sucks sorry to hear jago lol smok74 sounds like you have abit of attitude.. as per your post and sig why didnt you have insurance is the question you should be asking yourself, noone else to blame but yourself really so why give jago a hard time, plus you even said you still have a boosted vl to drive so your withdrawels wouldnt be so bad i think youre the one crying like a little girl!
  2. Bump? im shocked noone wants this.. Price drop....! case of woodstock cans ! =]
  3. traction issues meaning some sideways action eh?? lol that pic of you looks MAD...but im sure you want to actually get around the corner quickly not sideways lol awesome car btw! i was standing enxt to your wife on the hill while she was telling your baby how you were NAUGHTY for going off the track a few times and were gonna be sent to the NAUGHTY mat (her words) LOL
  4. Was an awesome day guys i didnt meet many of you though apart from flaps, i was kinda all over the place being first time and was with my gf and a mate. I got there heaps early like 7,didnt notice any skylines till about 8:30 i was freaking out going shit its just me with all these rotarys everywhere lol. Most of the rotary guys i talked to were heaps kewl especially brad and neil they helped me out with everything. The day was run really well. I couldnt believe how slippery the track was in the morning!! i came off on the 2nd lap around turn 3 i think and when it happaned i was like shhiittt i wonder if ive damaged anything! coz all i saw was grass and dirt flying everywhere..dont need to mention the car needs a thorough wash underneath! but yeah the day was really fun and i learnt ALOT about my car! it was really annoying having stock seats though! definate next mod as i had to change my position alot to fit in with the helmet pressed up again the roof lol plus i was being thrown aorund everywhere around corners making it impossible to concentrate on steering and pedal control as i was bracing myself with my elbows and knees heh I had my last run before the drifting started because my tyres were just gooonneee lol the understeering was getting ridiculous in the end not to mention the rear was jsut coming out everytime i put the boot in! they are my street tyres so i didnt want to completely destroy them =[ next time ill bring along some cheap tyres to put on my stock rims and see if i can have a go at the drifting i think!
  5. so are we organising a group meet up time and place for the trip down?
  6. Hey so does it cost anything for passengers? if i want to take a mate out in the passenger seat? do they need to get a licence? ohh and its Peter Junghans btw Abo Bob lol
  7. Money sent, faxing form in this morning from work!
  8. lol fkn funny shit fully brotech man, i heard a gtr with twin brotech enhanced turbos ran a 8 sec 1/4 mile! no shit cant remember what type though maybe it was the quadraphonic chrome dipped version??
  9. Nooo just missed out hey! Well if someone pikes out at the last minute let me know(just spent 1k in servicing the car to get it ready for the track!! and wanted to make sure i had enough money left over for the trackday fee which i do) Thanks Pete
  10. Very interested will know hopefully by tomorrow if i can make it...is there any spots left? plus im a member so its $130 right but what about a wakefield licence? im pretty sure its been over a year since i went so will i have to get another one? if so is it still $80? Cheers
  11. Im very interested, ill find out if i can go by tuesday ,will we be able to do some drifting there at all? Plus all we need is the $215 and helmet right coz i havent been on oran park before so is it like wakefeild where you need to buy a licence?
  12. No worries man hope someone else can help you with the offset ceffies are mad cars have fun with it!
  13. LOL dude im not positive but im assuming since an r33 uses the rb25det engine and gearbox that the clutch would be the same as an r33 skyline not sure about the offset though
  14. Hi guys I need to replace the two end bolts on my exhaust manifold coz they have snapped! My mechanic says this will cost around the 500 mark including labour to get to it, so what im thinking is while he is at it should i buy an aftermarket more highflowing exhaust manifold to replace it at the same time and save myself the labour for next time? I want to keep my existing stock turbo for now but am thinking of upgrading to a gt2530/35 are these turbos going to fit EXACTLY how the stock one does (im quite sure they are a t3 flange arent they?) if they dont what are some turbos i could look at that does? Next question is..is it worth it, what are some good brands for the exhaust manifolds around Cheers in advance
  15. I would have thought that what 26gts is saying made the most sense to me...grrr this is annoying, can anyone like SK, Duncan or such that actually races skylines alot shed some light here please, like with what techniques they use etc.(not that i dont appreciate what others have posted cheers)
  16. Thanks for the replies guys. So i guess its not really worth double DEclutching and heel toeing when your gunning the car hard through corner or even especially when drifting?? Damn i hate being wrong since ive told my friend he was doing it wrong and now his gonna laugh in my face when i tell him he was actually doing it right all along ...=[ ohh well, tis better to learn late then never.
  17. Hi all Ive done a search on double clutching and the results ive found arent really telling me what i want to know. A friend of mine and I both double clutch and heel toe when downshifting into corners under brakes. We do it different ways though, I go into a corner in 3rd start braking with toes, clutch in, move stick into neutral, clutch out, then stab accelerator to match revs while still braking with toes, then clutch in, move stick to 2nd and let clutch out.... My friend of the other hand kinda cheats and goes 3rd starts braking with toe puts clutch in moves stick straightover to 2nd while stabbing the accelerator to match then clutch out... I need to know which one is correct once and for all from some ppl on these forums because from what i understand of gearboxes(which isnt a whole lot) but i thought that neutral was an actual gear inside the gearbox so that when your at the lgihts and sitting in neutral with the clutch out the flywheel clutch and gearbox are all connected and spinning yet the gearbox isnt putting any power to the wheels its jsut sort of spinning inside the box..right?? So if that is true then logically the way my friend "double clutches"and heel toes would be half doing it i.e. matching the flywheel revs to what the lower gear *will* be yet because he hasnt takin the clutch out in neutral gear he hasent connected the flywheel to the gearbox and matched them fully. HAHA i hope you guys understand what im talking about..sorry if i cant be more specific, if you need more desciption just ask.. Cheers
  18. Just yesterday on the way to pick up a friend i was going down a backstreet doing the speed limit(50) this old guy in like his 50's is walking a pram down like the middle of where my lane would be(unmarked road,no lines) and as im comign toward him and moving to the right of him which would have been on the other side of the road if it was measured im sure,he starts waving his hands around towards me yelling slow down! So many ppl hear a loudish exhaust(as i wasnt accelerating and it was droning,i have a 3"turbo back into 4.5"cannon) and think your going 100 miles an hour. I thought F*CK that so i turned around and pulled up next to him(there was noone around at all so i wasnt blocking any traffic or anything) and said "excuse me sir i wasnt speeding but my exhaust is loud so i can understand how you might think i was going faster than i was" he replies "well you werent driving very responsibly were you,you bloody p platers in your souped up hoon cars think you own the road" to which i just had to laugh and left saying "yeah and walking a pram down the middle of the road is VERY responsible isnt it" (as there is a footpath) As i drove off i heard him yell something like "At least i can drive properly" I mean WTF? this guy was like the epitomy of a media brainwashed import p plater hater
  19. How many here have dealt with nengun, bought stuff and had it sent over with no troubles? Im askign because im looking at getting the splitfire coilpacks and apexi power intake kit from them and ive never bought anything from overseas before. What im basically asking is are they reliable and how long does stuff usually take to get here(sydney) from them?
  20. As the title says im after as much accurate information on my car as i can possibly get in the way of mechanics, measurements, performance etc etc on the stock car. Ive tried searching but i must suck at it coz i couldnt find anything like a page with all the inof im after,so if someone could tell me where to look that would be great Cheers in advance
  21. any idea how much the adaptor would be and also how much to send the pod to sydney?
  22. Yeah wheels are weak i gotta say man but i do like the paintjob, all you have to do is lower it and it will look alot nicer too.
  23. Yup ive got the heavy duty 6 point ceramic button clutch through justjap and have to say for under 700 bucks is WELL WORTH IT,the thing grabs HARD yet the pedal isnt any harder to push in and out so its not a mega work out, plus its fine for everyday driving
  24. Yup now i cant stand driving autos either,i keep going for the clutch whenever i get in one hahah they are so boring i feel like im gonna go to sleep
