Just had a look with torch and can see rusting/corrosion (has been happening for a while) which is inline with one welsh plug, but also what im guessing is a ~20mm water fitting coming off the block. Could be coincidence that the leak is happening above that them both tho

Cheers guys. Don't really have access to underneath the car. If welch plug, can it be plugged up with some type of sealant, or do I need to change them?

Hi, I've had a pretty bad water leak from under where the turbo is. It empties the contents of radiator in about 20mins i think. Ive taken the pipework off the passenger side and can see the turbo, but looks like its coming from somewhere on the underside of that. My question is, are there coolant hoses on that side of the engine that I should look at, or water feed for turbo? Whats the easiest way to fix? Car is R33 GTST S1 (std turbo) Any help would be appreciated, Cheers! Damo

Just found it browsing this site when someone was trying to identify some other hoses.

Found an exploded diagram and looks like it might be the Pipe assembly heater feed, p/n 14075n on this diagram http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=249116

Cool, possibly could be. Like I said, haven't seen it myself where it came from, only this pic He said one end comes from a fitting on the block to a short rubber hose to this cross section. It's a joint with each end being 3/4inch, one side has 5/16in and other 1/2in connector. Hopefully means more to you than me haha

Hi, My mechanic has identifie my water leak to a corroded metal pipe with a couple of connections for coolant/heater, its located under the intake and I think it runs parallel somewhere between near where the thermostat is located and towards the firewall, but cant be sure as I didnt pull it apart. He's sent me a pic (attached), and I need to find a replacement or at least the name of the pipe so I can track one down. Cars off the road until I find one. Anyone can identify and point me in the right direction on getting a replacement would be awesome cheers

I 'did' have this problem, but after trying to fix it myself, playing with the relay and cables, I think i've burnt out my power window motor. I check that 12v is coming from the relay box and thats fine, but doesn't seem to be moving the motor, im guessing I need to change it. Does anyone have a good step by step in removing the power window motor from the door. Also, I have a spare passenger side door, which could have a motor in it (not sure yet), im guessing these aren't interchangable between LHS/RHS? Any help would be great.. Cheers!

Awesome. Thanks again for the info buddy, ill get onto it on the weekend. The amount and speed it was leaking when under pressure, I think it will be pretty obvious when I get the intake off and have a good look at it. From memory, even under no pressure when I fill the radiator, it leaks from the spot.

Cheers mate. So you think its likely to be a hose, and not the actual t-piece metal flange/pipe that comes directly off the block?

Yeah, I know the thermostat housing, not sure if its coming from the base of that where it joins to the block, or the heater hose that comes from the block behind it. If i were a betting man, i'd probably say its coming from the heater hose/pipe. I think ill have to take off the intake on the weekend and check it out. Seems like a bit of a jerk of a job to get the intake off tho Thanks for all the info guys, been heaps of help!

Could be. Hard to tell from where i'm looking. Does the heater hose/pipe come off the block, behind the thermostat housing, towards the firewall? Repco or supercheap auto a good source for the heater hose/pipe or thermostat housing?

Thanks mate, I just had a bit of a feel around and look and it does seem to be the thermostat housing where its leaking from, I thought it was another pipe coming off the block below the thermostat housing. Thats a relief. If the thermostat housing itself needs to be replaced, any ideas where and how much i'd be looking at?

hello. I've got a bad coolant leak from what seems to be a metal pipe that comes off the block, under the intake (on the drivers side). I need to find out what the part is so I can order one, then whats the best way to tackle it. Im guessing it would be easier to get it on a hoist, but dont have access, im guessing ill have to take the whole intake off to get to it. It feels like the metal pipe is a 90degree elbow, then goes onto a standard coolant hose. Sorry cant be more specific, havent had a good look at it myself yet... Any ideas?

hey mate, I get heaps of these for mates, and if you get a consult connector which led doesnt light up, sometimes they're wired up internally wrong, theres 2 wires they sometimes swap over (no idea why). Its the blue and purple wire (probably 1 and 2), theyre next to each other on the other connector, if you open it up (2 screws) you'll see what i mean. If not your confident, you can send it to me and ill fix for you, if you pay postage. Up to you, takes 2 mins to fix
