  1. Okay guys, i've been getting the datto running as she had some issues, i've decided now that i will lower the raised suspension and swap the rally tyres for some track tyres and try her on the tarmac. Looking for some lowered springs for her to start with get it handling and stopping well and then engine mods. Between the motorcycle rebuild, vintage go kart restoration, holden restoration she will get there. Its going to be on a major budget but i've always wanted to race and the datto is my chance to hit the track. Any help is much appreciated!
  2. hey guys, well the c210 went through a phase that i like to call ' annoy my f*****g owner ' phase. Refused to start for weeks. Anyway thats all sorted now and as of yesterday it starts first turn of the key. The plan to have it registered as a daily driver and a rally car has gone out the window as it will need to much to bring it up to road worthy condition, mainly with the fact that i'm bound to break something when i rally it. So it will be a trailer queen, albeit a dirty one!
  3. Yeah it is the Hitachi DAH342 Carb, had to rebuild it so i could move the car around, will def move onto a better setup in the future but just wanted specs to get this as carb reliable as possible.
  4. Hey guys, does anyone have any carb tuning specs for Dah 342 Carby on a L28?
  5. most wheels i find at 14x6 or 7 but have 30+ or more offset
  6. Sorry to bring up an old post guys, looking to run some wheels on the c210 for track days and want it to sit nicely up under the guard as i'm not running flares... Yet. Lots of wheels online but i cant find what offset i should be looking for with standard wheels.
  7. Looking for some wheels for the c210 to use at the track, dont have to be anything pretty just need to be 14" or bigger, i dont want show wheels or 18's i want something suited to the car in the Sydney to Newcastle Region. Cheers Josh
  8. Centre console is abit shagged! Has alot of holes in it, how many things can someone mount on a centre console!
  9. Hey Guys, the front bar on my c210 is screwed, finding a replacement is harder than a needle in a haystack, more like a pube in a haystack. Any other options that will fit? Otherwise i'm tempted to make a copy from timber then make a fibreglass one from that one but have it an exact copy of the original.
  10. The air cleaner was putrid and the inside of the Carb had mud in it. Would there be any benefit of directing the air in from the front of the car for dirt events? My main aim is to run the car on tarmac hill climbs and sprints but dirt will be its first outing. Feel free to throw ideas around guys.
  11. with the amount of crap in the carby i am going to ditch the original air cleaner and go with something abit more engine friendly, ideas? First thought was one i have used in the past, a ramflo oil soaked cleaner.
  12. Ah thats better, ditched the nudge bar and the bonnet pins, next step is to tune the rebuilt carb and get some signage on it, looks abit less bogan now without the nudge bar. Think i will go with a belt as the secondary bonnet tie down instead of the pins. Next step is to swap the diff out and replace alot of suspension bushes as they are all shagged.
  13. All was going well with reassembly until i tried to assemble the needle and the plunger doesnt fit inside the needle. So i'm abit annoyed with that and wont be able to fire the car up until they can get me a new one, although i could always use the old one,
  14. damn that nudge bar sticks out like dogs balls its going to have to come off for the road but i'll put it back on for the dirt as anything that helps protect the front from damage will save me $ in the long run.
