  6. Weather forecasters with their 8-day forecasts AND Trucks that flick up B-F-Rs, pinging them off the car after leaving a nice scratch/dent
  7. Ok Ok I've got another one... (this may have been mentioned before so I will apologise in advance).... What really GRINDS my gears... You pull up to a petrol station and all the bowsers are taken. You pick a car to park behind and patiently wait while the car in front is filling up. Two long minutes have gone by and they are still filling up. Everyone else is now walking towards the shop to pay. Another two long minutes have gone by and they are finally putting the filler cap back on. They then reach into the car to get their wallet/purse and walk off to the shop. Phew, shouldn't be much longer now you're thinking...waiting... waiting... really starting to get those gears grinding... what could they be doing?.... OMG - Nooooo.... they must be getting milk or something.... waiting... waiting... OMG... It can't be happening. I don't believe it. They have decided to do a weekly shop!! Meanwhile the bowsers have seen another set of cars and you're still waiting! Finally, they pay and walk out of the shop and look at you as if they didn't even realise you were parked behind them, WAITING!
  8. What really GRINDS my gears... when I'm washing the car and discover new scratches and new dents!!!! Found one this morning on the rear bumper, some twat has knocked it and cracked the paint in several places and left a couple of dimples .... Feel much better now
  9. You cheeky bugger! I was like 'AAwww noo' and then 'AAwww wow!' Just about gave me a heart attack at my delicate age Anywho, C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S!!!!
  10. This is a WICKED car! New owner will not be disappointed... Good luck with the sale
  11. I went to BOB JANE - Morley - great after service, I went back several times and they were really good about it (although I did purchase rims and tyres from them not to mention balancing and alignment)... on the last visit I took the manager for a drive to show him how bad the steering wheel was shaking. You could probably go to any tyre place though.
  12. Had same issue - got the offending wheel balanced on the hub, now only got the slightest of shakes around 90kms... definately worth doing IMHO.
  13. "... rubber lines... Gnangara Rd..." HELL YEAH!!!
  14. Congrats! Will be filling up the 'Spotted..' thread for sure now! Which village Niz? I'm in The Bridges... B)
  15. YAY! Happy news! I took the beast back to the tyre place and they performed an 'on-car' wheel balance (front wheels - left wheel was out so they 'rotated it on the hub') and VIOLA! - the vibration has gone.... HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!! Hope this helps all other peeps with 'bad' vibrations
  16. Hi there, sorry to drag up an old thread but I recently purchased new rims and tyres (235x45R17) - same size as yours - and I have exactly the same problem! I have had balancing and alignments done as well as the plastic hub inserts installed but still have that annoying steering wheel vibration. I found your thread via search as I would like to find out if you managed to resolve the issue. It is annoying the crap out of me.
  17. :uh-huh: c'mon peeps help the girl out! p.s. LiMac can you PM me all the details, ta.

  20. Yeah, you will be amazed how good this actually works (I was). Brasso first (buff this off in small circles) followed by a wax/polish.
