  1. AJAX would be no good for alloy. Plenty of them around that specialise in alloy repairs. one in moorabin that I went to first. not sure of the name. Yeah I should've known they wouldn't be steel. It'd be sin to put heavy steel wheels on a skyline.
  2. Is the roll cage a bolt together or welded? Do you have all the mounting plates? Pics would tell the story.
  3. Love the blue and white ones!!! Jap flares!
  4. Is there a 1/8 mile track in Mildura? I remember my first attempt at calder. Pretty intimidating. Racing a 12sec 1930s hotrod, open exhausts. couldn't hear my engine. could only took at the tacho to see if it was still running!
  5. Wish I could've made it. I had to sit my motorbike licence. Was kinda fun flogging around a mighty Honda CB250!
  6. There is a place in moorabbin I've been to for an old school centreline wheel repair. Its called something like AJAX rims or something. look em up. They specialise in steel rim repairs. The old guy I dealt with was very helpful coz I wasn't sure what needed to be done. Wasn't close to me but was the only place I could find that could do the job. (steel) Do you know if it is alloy or steel? That will determine the repairer you go to. There's plenty of alloy wheel repairers around. Good luck.
  7. Think of economy as how far your accelerator pedal is depressed, not how many revs it's doing. 4th with less pedal is probably better than 5th with more pedal. It does make the motor and driveline strain a bit.
  8. that's my car.... Only kidding. Careful, might be someone on this forum.
  9. Is the existing engine an R33 RB26? That is a lot for an engine that you don't know the condition of. Maybe if it was a reco... If you're desperate, go for the 2nd hand crank with the coller or get a R33 crank second hand.
  10. How much did you pay for the brake pads? I know endless are a great brand but I didn't think they were worth that much.
  11. Normal mechanic I mean ultratune, racv compared to Sam who has the specific knowledge for these cars
  12. Why the bad word on Dr Drift? He knows nissans better than anyone I know. A normal mechanic will not know the specific things to look for! He would tell you straight everything that needs doing and he's a good bloke on top of that. Wouldn't rip you off.
  13. Thanks Guys but it looks like I missed out with all the positions now filled! I am disapointed that I couldn't see it. Is this because it may not recognise me as a member? I'll PM adzmax and ask. I'll have to make sure I get to the next one! If there are any people that pull out please let me know. Might still be able to make it and help with the event. Jamezilla, let me know if you want help timing etc...
  14. I am a SAU member and I drove last time and I also cannot see anything to do with entry forms? Am I doing something wrong? I've looked everywhere? I don't want to miss out!
  15. 180SX with a RB30?...... Gotta ask.... Why?
  16. Man I'm impressed by the great designs! I love the ones that have aussie stuff on it. I love 22 but isn't that san fransisco in the background? 20 is cool with the typical aussie highway! and 11! 20 was my pick. It was frustrating picking just one. I reckon they should cycle the best ones!

How much have you guys paid for this set up? Sounds great! Winter is on it's way...
  18. I would just like to say that I have met Steve twice to buy things and he is an alright bloke and sold things to me for a reasonable price. I can't back up any side of the story (noone can) because I haven't seen any of the stuff. It is always a gamble buying stuff you haven't seen. This has not detered me and I will be buying from him in the future (When I get some cash). my 2c... Russell
  19. Are they used? Would they need machining? How long have they been in storage? Location?
  20. Hi mate. I did the V8 drive in Feb and it was great. I also recommend doing 8 instead of 5 coz after 3 or so laps you get the hang of it and then it's really really fun. They are awesome to drive. Not really that quick but man... slicks, suspension and good brakes! They stop and handle so damn well. Enjoy it!
  21. Item arrived as described. Happy customer. Thanks, Russell
  22. Plenty of places will do it but where are you located?
  23. Turbo timer and Lock nuts are sold. Have been paid for. Russell
