  1. time for another update... New 27mm swaybar has just arrived to solve the sump clearance issues. I currently have a loan 24mm until I get a chance to fit the 27mm. Might try both on the weekend if I can as a comparison. Fulcrum suspension have sorted out the bar for me. I've extended the wing end plates as the old ones were a little small and the bigger ones should hopefully stop a bit of the spill over the sides. The splitter has come a long way. I'm still testing as it's all a bit new to me still. I'm really just copying what the fast guys do and following basic principles and advice I'm getting along the way. I'll be logging the data at Philip Island this weekend to see if straight line speed is sacrificed and if corner speed is increased. As a bare minimum I'm expecting more downforce from just the splitter seperating the air and minimising air flow under the car. If it all works the plan is to make the parts out of carbon fibre down the track. It's all trial and error at the moment.

  3. So true. Being a year behind every year!
  4. Did he get a time for PI? Testing for me down there next saturday. Hoping for good weather and try out the new splitter.
  5. Decent road bike helmet around $200 = win
  6. Most guys rate the RSR's over the KU's. I've had a good run with KU's though.
  7. I've heard of R33 bonnets fly up before only being held by by the 2nd restraint. 8mm wire is pretty strong and it stops the bonnet low enough you won't have the 'whole' surface area of the bonnet acting on it. My thinking was it was there for 2 seperate 'systems' to stop brain fade. I'm glad I've got my pins, still sometimes I need to double check on the dummy grid I haven't forgot Oh well if it's not needed it's one less thing for people to do for their first track day.
  8. Yeah ask Bris about plazmaman plenums haha.
  9. Or just use E85 and overcome the 'loss' of torque I'm happy with my front facing Jun style plenum. Much easier to work on, shorter piping and response is pretty damn good. So that's where the pressure is coming from Adz! Wouldn't have thought that...
  10. Yeah Chris is trying newtons on mine today to see. You wanna buy the whiteline one back Bris? haha
  11. Do their own what? Sway bar? Chris is already chasing one for me.
  12. Turns out that the whiteline sway bar that is on my car was a prototype from years ago and they don't sell them anymore so pretty unique situation. The bend is very close to the sump so that's what has caused the issue. I think that a new 27mm sway bar with a better option that pulling the sump off again! Custom one being investigated now. Hope it makes the 21st!!
  13. So the nut plate is like a weld on or rivet on plate with a nut welded on it? It's only for underbody so don't really need to take load. Just has to sit there.
  14. Surprised you're selling the shafts. With more power it's good to have spares. Do you have the front subframe?
  15. I'm in too Gunna be a big contingency of WTA cars there. Big Red, Chasers Evo and maybe more. Also MSCA have a day on sunday I might have a crack at as well. Sandeep prob not a bad idea to do driver training. I think you can go on your own later in the day.
  16. Nah stick with AO's man
  17. How much are AD08's?
  18. Can't wait to see the Sutton boys car out ther. I was at Unigroup when they gave up with the new motor last year. Shattered for them...
  19. This is what mine has. Good response and can push well over 300kw. You're not chasing 400+ kw so just keep is simple. Haven't done a comparison but remember you're weighing up $$ for kw. You have the greddy copy there so decision should be easy.
  20. This is why I've been getting AO50's for a while. It sucks but they do last me 3/4 of a year in track days so it's a necessary cost for me to have fun. Not keen to try the Federal slicks from tire rack? They're almost half the price but Lukey luke was telling me the life is nowhere near as good...
  21. Prob Berry will prob be fastest with the 34 in pro class. Was much faster last year compared to before. Haven't heard much since though... Wooster?? Updates?? In open I would say Newton in Big Red for Open class if he pulls it all together. Looks very promising. Way too many Emo's at WTAC IMO.
  22. Newtons is a GTR plenum. Not sure it's worth it man. If you want that buy a GTR lol. Thought you'd like that Jack. Seriously just get a decent turbo (maybe even twin scroll) and E85 for response!!!! Cheaper!!!
