Yeaj how awesome would a shootout betwwen them all? Stao did say when he works out some production line type thing or something he was meaning I think it should bring the price down were his words. The ceramic bearings he uses alone are $400ish+ and are a fair level higger grade then the other top model turbochargers out there. Josh
-
What brand injectors did you opt for Stao, as in brand wise? Not those jecs 1200cc ones GTScott has been been saying seem to go alright? if so good value for the $$$. I so hope you crack that big 500kw mark. Josh
-
Yeah the results look fantastic hey LITHIUM, ESPECIALLY once the new injectors go in and he pushes that extra 5psi+ into it. I asked Stao a price and he said the 2.5g mark.

Joshbigt62r replied to FBRacing's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Siunds to me also you need to DO a shit load of reading up on rb engines and there components. Or you can choose nit to and do thing a number of times and pay through the nose for things that should have been well studied and thought abiut anyway ill shutup. josh -
Forced Performance Hta Turbos
Joshbigt62r replied to 34GeeTeeTee's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hey Darren, Tell you what you buy it and ill be the guinea pig? I reckon thats a pretty fair deal haha. Josh -
Performance = head aches and lot of $$$ Well the heads not currently bolted to anything yet is it? Be easier to get it sorted now. Pull em out and sell them and chuck the same springs as what "Piggaz & r32-25t" are running in. The chances are you'll see the exact same problems as so many people that have walked this path before you have. You may get lucky and not but while its a common issue I reckon you'd be mad not to address the problem now and stay that one step ahead. Its your choice atcthe end of the day though mate. Josh

Yeah very good points Mick_o. I guess thats the stage where ya just have to learn to pedal it haha. Josh

Not just the KW'S take a look at the FARKING TORQUE. Its incredible. And to have it coming on so early is a good result. What ar. Rear housing on this Stao? (Sorry if already stated). Those new tomei camshafts seem to be doing there job also. Is there any lumpyiness to the idle with 264's in&out 8.9 lift or is it still quite smooth? TOP WORK STAO. YOU DESERVE A PWT ON THE BACK FOR ALLVYOUR EFFORT MATEY JOSH

but by saying that maybe true, why does it seem to affect jap brand springs "usually" more often than the other big brands available??? Can you please explain mate? A few mates of mine have come across valve float with tomei type c's, apexi spl v-max's and also atomei type b's from memory. Of the 4 gtr's 1 went to ferrea and other 3 went to some brand I cant think of off the top of my head but I know that JHH RACING use and recommended my mates the brand I cant think of and problem was solved. I should add high revving rb26 strokers of all sorts. Keeping revs sensible and I guess you probably wouldn't have a problem? Josh

Turbo/fuel Upgrade On 2.7 Stroker Thoughts?
Joshbigt62r replied to GTRB27's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
If it was me id be pushing them -5's as far as they'll go before changing the whole setup for 450ish kw. Then if your disappointed ("highly doubtful though") then upgrade to to the 6466. Your choice at the end of the day though. Josh -
Pm fatz here on the sau forums. He has a HKS t04z kit for sale. Josh

R33 Gtst 2Dr Manual In Black (Vic) Se
Joshbigt62r replied to squidgymop's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Looks mad on the enkei's mate Im about to have my r33 gts-t series 2 re sprayed in the original kr4 silver and am going for a very similar look to this viva front lip and lip spoiler on boot. Just gotta get the the series 2 sedan fog/indicators for front bar and ill be set. Be on bbs lm wheels also. Sorry for thread hijack but just wanted to let you know im copying your look/style youve created FREE BUMP LOL. Josh. -
Save your money up and buy a power fc if funds ade tight or what I recommend go straight to a adaptronic/Vi-Pec/ Link or Haltech direct plug in mate. Then you wonf need a afm. Jyst use thd map sensor and tons more features mate. Greddy blue is good for a paper weighf thats a8 it lol. And aem im not sure many people tune them here in Australia. Pick whatever ECU your tuner is most comfortable with I should have said. Josh.

I agree with Piggaz Josh

Call NPC up mate they'll sort a top clutch out for you. Just tell them your setup and plans and they'll sort you a top drivable clutch that'll hold big power. Other option is call Jim Berry up and give him the same info and he will custom make you a clutch. If your set on a Nismo go a twin plate super copper mix. Piggaz or R31Nismoid will be able to possibly elaborate more on this clutch. As they've used and still currently use the Nismo? Josh
-
Afm's would definitely be a limiting factor there. Do as GTRsean said and upgrade to z32's, Nismo's or if a tight ass series 2 rb25 afm's can be used as they a generally good for 200kw+ atw's each. Change afm's convert to e70-e85 or if not available WMI at the least. Retune and get your tuner to lean on it a bit if all is good. Should see some nice gains especially through the midrange. Josh

Forced Performance Hta Turbos
Joshbigt62r replied to 34GeeTeeTee's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
That's not a real lot of a price drop for buying with no rear housing. Garrett rear housings are worth what 350ish $ ea. To buy from a Garrett dealer.? Josh -
Dont be confused a garrett gt3582r ("3540") is a good turbo but it will be on the laggy side of turbos for a rb25. You also cant just bolt one on and away you go. You'll need supporting mods like a " ecu, atleast 740cc injectors or bigger if going e85. 4" dump into a 3.5" exhaust with a sutiable cat. Drop in cams and valve springs. Depending on fuel your planning to use will determine what fuel pump set up you need. Remember a (3540) is a 700hp turbo so unless used on a track on constant high revs it will feel laggy on the street. You'll need other things for a 3540 setup. Suspension, brakes, clutch etc. You would be bettet off spending the money on a HYPERGEAR hi-flow. Ss1pu would be good for a simple upgrade. Or his ss2 vnt if your prepared to upgrade other bits & pieces. Or a 3076 hta. Precision 5757/5858 billet cea wheel could be a goet as well. Josh.

Camshafts are a waste of money for that power. Spend it elsewhere. Josh
-
Call npc up for a clutch they recommend. Other option js jim berry.upgrade your mafs to series 2 rb25 ones. Cheap and will get you 350kw+. Josh
