  1. Don't forget to use all new gaskets either will you. If you do decide to do a hypergear hiflow and put it on your standard rb25 neo DO NOT RUN MORE THAN FACTORY BOOST mate. Stock replacement should be find to 9-10 psi without hitting R&R. Also good to hear your going to do plenty of hours of reading on the forum. There is 10 plus years of good info in and around this forum So anything you your stuck with odds are its been covered as GTScotT has mentioned.
  2. Yeah but massive lift big duration cams (280*) are made for a gt42 45 55 ect sized turbo. Just not really suited to smaller twins. Twin 3037s and a 1/4 drag strip is a different story. Tomei type b's are tried and proven with -5's on the track and even a drag strip strip. As R31Nismoid said -5's and 280* cams are just a extreme mismatch. I do also agree with roys comment to a extent as well. Cheers josh
  3. Go with the tomei type b cams Scott. Can't go wrong and are good for WELL over 400kw.
  4. I'd also like to look at this black rail.
  5. So piggaz your saying this black box is that far advanced to the link g4 in drivability. Like going from a PFC to a g4 terms faaaaark it must be a awesome ecu. I look forward to some more feedback. Cheers Josh.
  6. 280* cams are drag territory. Get a set of 260's with nice big lift for a start.
  7. How can you tell if you have a v88 top board version or a old version?
  8. Where did you get this information from? I'd like to read it if you can send me a link please Cheers josh
  9. You could maybe have your compressor wheel taken off and put a gtx67mm wheel on it in the future to make it less laggy. Be cheaper than buying a whole new turbo. I'm sure stao from hypergear will do this for you.
  10. Oversized valves and procams are not needed. Stock cams will make 350kw atw's no problem. Injector dynamics 1000cc injectors over the 850cc.forget the twin thwrmo's on the radiator and stick with the stock clutch fan and stock Nissan surround. Cam gears are good and atleast a 3.5" exhaust. If it were me I'd sell the the r34 gtr turbos and buy some -5's . If e85 is available I'd be going with that as well, make more power easier and SAFER. if you can afford forget the power fc and go a adaptronic/vipec. At that power level you'll need to look at a NPC clutch as well. No need for boost controller. A good ecu will do this. Ps. There in tonnes's of info on here for your goals do some reading.
  11. Awesome response mate. Will make will make a 2876r feel like a pos. Basically no different to a rb25 standard turbo in response
  12. Ifyou found a HKS 2535 laggy on a rb20 then there was something wrong with your setup or you need to find a new tuner.
  13. Haha GTSBoy I thought you must have been having a memory blank! As your one of the most informative guys on this forum.
  14. I thought places like rotormaster in Melbourne actually can rebuild Garrett cores nowadays?
  15. SargeRX8. I was also taught that procedure. ^^^
  16. Save up and buy a PFC. If you look you can find them around 7-800 dollars now. Also the apexi afc I think there called might be ok for a TIGHT budget. You'll need bigger injectors eventually. A decent set won't be cheap but.
  17. No need for cams at these power levels. Spend it on better tires or something
  18. Your the best guilt toy. Thanks for spending the time to teach us how to set our timing correctly and not off the silly white loop. Also on showing how to set up the Vipec correctly with timing ect. Cheers josh
  19. Thanks stao. Well after looking at results when they come through it may be the hypergear turbo for me. Can you pm me the price or write it up in the thread. Also as I said bb I prefer but not a absolute must. Thanks Josh
  20. Nice work stao. Just another happy customer from your epic turbochargers. Id like to go for a hta 3076r stao. But I've been thinking over the weekend that I'd prefer to support a local aussie turbo builder. What would you suggest that would be the closest match from your turbocharger selection? So something capable of 375+kw atw's with good response. Obviously on e85. Would prefer a bb turbo but it's not a must. Let me know what you think. Cheers Josh.
  21. Exactly what I done angryrbgtx. Just don't dose it bro next or near a police man/lady and you'll be right.
  22. I think it would be good. I think I need to learn a lot more of the vipec/link g4 features.
  23. Can you take a picture of the actual manifold please?
