  1. I also agree with GTSCOTT and c4Aos.
  2. For 250kw I wouldn't bother building the engine. Spend the money else where on suspension, gauges, tires, adj. Arms ect. Same for 300kw. If your going to be running e85 even 350kw can be ok for a fair period of time with a very GOOD TUNE. if you must build a rb25 for piece of mind then. JE PISTONS. EAGLE/SPOOL/NITTO RODS. KING/ACL BEARINGS. STANDARD NISSAN HEAD GASKET. NITTO/TOMEI OIL PUMP. N1 WATER PUMP. HEAD OIL DRAIN. OIL RESTRICTORS. HI ENERGY SUMP 6.5L. JIM BERRY SINGLE PLATE CLUTCH. GASKET MATCH RUNNERS/EXHAUST MANI ECT. GENERAL TIDY UP OF EXHAUST PORTS EG. REMOVE DAGS AND SMOOTH OUT. ROSS HARMONIC BALANCER OR GEN. NISSAN. OPTIONAL BUT NOT NEEDED: 256DEG/8.5MM LIFT TOMEI PONCAMS AND ADJ EX. CAM GEAR. You won't really need all that for a engine build but be prepared for it to cost fair $$$'s. Like you could just get everything machined up and slap forged pistons and set of H beam eagle rods. With approiate bearings gaskets and slap it back in if doing it on cheap. All depends what power you want and what you wish to do with the car. Street/strip/track or whatever. You need to make up your mind what power level you wish for first. There is a ridiculous amount of difference between 250rwkw and 350rwkw. Anyway there is so so so much info on here it's not funny. I suggest you study up. Read the dyno thread for rb25s. Cheers Josh.
  3. Bigalow, Roy does have some good points in his post. The nismo and arc are more street car orientated with the thermostat ect. And can be prone to getting glugged up and not working or giving faulty readings as Roy basically explained. Make your own with speedflow fittings and goog braided line.
  4. I'm pretty sure if your just using the neo block and building it with series 2 rb25 pistons ect you'll be right. Someone please correct if I'm wrong* but I'm sure the actual blocks are no different. Just the neo has different compression pistons due to the different cc'd cylinder head. Cheers Josh
  5. That looks awesome piggaz. Might paint mine like that rather than being highly polished. Great price to especially with the 76mm throttlebody to.
  6. I must admit I'm with you GTSCOTT on getting the block machined out to 86.5mm. N1 block should be great but yeah I don't know lol. Each to there own I guess. Um what grade oil are you using.?
  7. So JE won't do you a 1.5mm top ring your saying? With everything you've done it shouldn't be a problem even with a 1.2mm top ring. It sounds like it was possibly screwed together poorly? Slap happy job? Ring gaps all probably not measured or done or who knows? Was the block torque plate honed do you know? Machine work may be not have been done to correct specs? It's hard to say without seeing it if that makes sense. I'd almost think the the problem would lay within how it's been screwed together. Also what oil are you using?
  8. Go adaptronic/vipec/link ect. Map sensor capable and a better ecu also can run dual maps for e85 and 98. Although nothing wrong with a PFC and twin z32s. You'll be doing pretty well to max twin z32s out. Cheers Josh
  9. Ok I've just sent a email off to a contact to see what he can do or says. I'm guessing your wanting a thicker top ring to help control your blowby issue? Have you fitted MINES triple flow cam baffles.? They help a lot. You also said you've already done the rear head oil drain and smaller oil restrictor in the block. Do you also have a good catch can setup?
  10. +1 For the ecu and turbo package if not yet got a ecu
  11. So can you point me in the direction with all the info on rb engines or atleast on similar sized engines because I can't find a massive amount.
  12. So what size piston rings do you want? Can you list the 3 ring sizes please?
  13. What's the reasoning behind the ring end gaps being no good? Unless your really aiming for a rb power record what's wrong with JE PISTONS, CP, NITTO, MAHLE ect. Many many many people with rb engines making over 1000hp with these. So just go with a set of JE/NITTO SLUGS. problem solved mate. I've always ran JE's in my rb engine with no problems.
  14. Basically what the title states comps turbos, wanting info on them. Triple ceramic oiless bb turbos.
  15. So I take it this will fit a r33 gtst with a plazmamaman plenum? Cheers Josh
  16. Just go a nistune mate. Get the base model plazmaman intercooler kit. Call hypergear up and get him to highflow your standard turbo. Best bang for buck. Or find a HKS 2530,2535,2540,gtrs or even a 2835.
  17. I recommend to use the search button. But because I'm feeling nice I'll give you a basic quick rundown. 1. A good free flowing K&N panel filter. 2. Bin bov and use a stock gtr bov. 3. Buy a plazmaman intercooler kit. 4. Buy a 3" turbo back exhaust 5. Greddy profec b spec2 boost controller. 6. Hypergear hiflow turbo or equivalent. 7. Adaptronic ecu/ injectors/ tune. Thats a quick basic rundown mate. Just that there is probably close to 5-7k mate so be prepared. You'll also want to do suspension brakes gauges wheels and the list goes on. I've got a HKS 2535 for sale which would be a ideal turbo upgrade as the standard turbo is rubbish. 5.
  18. More derails on the apex radiator please?
  19. Free bump for a awesome intercooler. No longer made anymore people and becoming extremely hard to find. 1000+hp proven piece of work. If I had a gtr I'd be all over it as I have a real soft spot for all the discontinued apexi v-max stuff. Good luck with the sale nxtime.
