  1. Well on paper the new gtx3067r seems like it could a really good thing for us rb25 owners who want a bolt on to standard manifold turbo. And with the to4b surge slotted front housing it should not need the likes of any spacers I'm led to believe? Did your gtrs make the 270rwkw on 98 or e85.? maybe it would be worth me buying a gtx2867r and using the hks .64 housing. Do you know of anyone ever using the Garrett .86 t28 housing with a adaptor plate? Disco I think you should upgrade to the gtx3067r and be the guinie pig for all us rb25 owners.
  2. And it really is hard to go past some of staos turbos are really hard to go past.
  3. So ryno do you have any pictures of your setup you can post up? So discopotato03 what would be your choice if aiming for what I am. I'm open for any suggestions. And I do wonder how the hks 2535 housings would go with bigger gtx wheels inside. But for the money I'd probably be better off to go a gtx3067r/3071r. I really want around 270rwkw and any more would be a bonus. I just really want it to be a response monster. As I plan to do a lot more track days and I believe a responsive 270+rwkw is perfect for the street track on e85.
  4. How would you get your money back if you didn't send them? $1100 us seems very very very cheap. Considering there worth maybe 2k for the pair. Goodluck with the sale.
  5. Would not hurt to use a fuel pressure reg. As for the turbo you really can't go past hypergears turbos theses if you wish to keep the standard manifold. Even aftermaket manifold he has some good options.
  6. Stao that turbo looks pretty wicked for the street. Making 200rwkw by 4000rpm which is always a pretty quick car for the street I believe and 500nm of torque in the top. Make it a hard punching rb25 and probably a lot of wheel spin haha.
  7. So stao what specs is that turbo you put up? Same wheels as a 2535 but larger trim.? Originally I thought 270rwkw would be possible on e85 but the more I think about what r31nismoid said the more I think it will run out up top as the -7 and -9s do on e85. Plus the rear housing is a tiny .64. Wonder how a 2535 would have gone if they made a slightly larger ar rear housing.??? Does anyone think it would be worth putting a billet wheel in. Would it make any difference.
  8. Very interesting read. 
  9. Joyous really starting to twist my arm haha. 6boob with gtx3071/76.I hate lag and want to start doing the more track days really. I'll have to just work out what I want. I'll try e85 and the hks 2535 just to how it goes I think. I don't think there would be much point in running e ex gate on the 2535. I'd be wiser to sell it as is an upgrade I think.
  10. I wonder when how boost a 2535 would take before really pushing it to hard. I'd think 16-17psi would be near the limit???
  11. Well I might just suck it and see. The set up is forged rb25 JE pistons Eagle rods King bearings Plazmaman plenum Hks intercooler Sard 850cc injectors Vipec plugin Hks pod Bosch o44 custom drop in Ect ect ect. Im extremely happy with the way it performs as it is for now. But e85 will would be nice to try. I think I may go top mount in the near future. And drop some poncams in.
  12. Would it be worth putting a billet wheel from a gtx series turbo in it like a gtx2867 compressor wheel. I really like the hks 2535 on the street. Maybe I should just sell it off and go top mount gtx 3076r
  13. Well I'm currently making 235rwkw on 14psi on createds dyno in Melbourne. So I was hoping to make 270kw at the wheels on jungle juice. Maybe I should try running a external gate off the housing maybe. Or what suggestions do you guys have?
  14. I would replace the cat with atleast a 3" 100 cell cat. Stepping down to 2.5" cat is not good for flow. And if your running a gutted caf on the street be prepared for some trouble with EPA ect. Cheers Josh.
  15. Yeah I agree at 120 degrees your oil is on the edge of breaking down. But you'd never get the oil that hot on the street. As stated before unless you plan on doing track days occasionally it's really not needed. If you do go ahead with a oil cooler steer clear of the non thermostat model coolers. Cheers Josh
  16. There is nothing wrong with JE pistons and carrillo rods are awesome as well. As for bearings I use king bearings in my rb25 as well as the JE forged pistons. Any top name pistons are up to the task of abuse in rbxx engines. And everyone will differ in opinion. More come down to how well it's screwed together in my opinion. Cheers Josh
  17. Thanks for the detailed information r31nismoid. Basically answered everything in one.
  18. Hi guys just wondering what you all reckon a hks 2535 could make on juice bolted to a rb25 with supporting mods? I'm thinking of getting a retune for e85 in the very near future and was hoping I could maybe snag 270rwkw out of the little huffer. Cheers Josh
  19. Hey mate would you post the door to wangaratta 3677?
  20. Does the turbo come with lines and dump pipe? Or just as it is?
  21. Keep the exhaust setup you have. Just buy a hypergear bolton turbo. Buy a nismo drop in full pump, injectors of your choice. And a nistune/PFC with z32 afm. Npc single plate. And be on your way. Remember with upgraded power you will need good tyres suspension brakes to.
  22. Rb25 ftw! 
